BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 2 Kings 9-10
MESSAGE
I once visited the capital of a state in Nigeria some years ago. This state had a lot of large rivers, yet the state capital had no pipe-borne water. Surprised, I made some inquiries, and I was told that there was a tree in the centre of the capital that could not be uprooted. In fact, they had to build a road around it, and yet nothing good could happen to them in the town as long as the tree remained. Then, I cursed the tree in the name of the Lord. That night, there was a storm in the town, and by morning, the tree was uprooted completely.
From the moment God cursed the ground after the fall of Adam and Eve until now, the earth has not yielded to its full potential. When God places a curse, it begins to work from the root upwards, just like it did in our Bible reading for today. Beloved, be careful of the things you do or say so that God will not place a Curse on you. If He does, He alone can deliver you from the curse.
KEY POINT:
If you have brought a divine curse upon yourself by your actions, ask the Lord to forgive and deliver you now.
HYMN 5 – Take My Life And Let It Be
- Take my life and let it
Consecrated Lord to Thee
Take my moment and my days
Let them flow ceaseless praise. - Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for thee - Take my voice and let me sing
Always only for my king;
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee. - Take my sliver and my gold
Not a mite would I withhold
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as thou shalt choose. - Take my will and make it Thine,
It shall no longer mine:
Take my heart, it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne, - Take my love, my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure store;
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for thee
