BASIC SCRIPTURE: PSALM 66: 1- 10

66 Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:

Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.

Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.

All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.

He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.

He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.

O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:

Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.

10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.

Prayer for August 2 2023

Heavenly Father,

As we step into the month of August, we thank you for the opportunities, challenges, and experiences that lie ahead. On this day, we come before you with hearts full of gratitude for your love and provision.

Lord, we pray for your guidance and wisdom throughout this month. As we encounter each day’s uncertainties, may we find reassurance in your unwavering presence. Lead us on paths of righteousness and protect us from the snares of evil.

As we remember historical events and their impact on the world, help us to learn from both the triumphs and mistakes of the past. May we work towards creating a better, more compassionate world, where peace and understanding prevail.

In moments of difficulty, grant us strength and courage to face challenges with unwavering faith. In moments of joy, remind us to be grateful and to share our blessings with others.

Lord, we lift up all those who are suffering, whether physically, emotionally, or spiritually. May they find comfort in your healing touch and experience the warmth of your love through the support of others.

As we go about our daily lives, may our words and actions be filled with kindness and love. Help us to be a light in this world, reflecting your grace and mercy to all we encounter.

We commit this month of August into your hands, knowing that you are in control. May your will be done in our lives, and may we seek to align our desires with yours.

In the precious name of Jesus, we pray.

Amen.
