BIBLE PASSAGE: Mark 7:32-35 KJV (RCCG Sunday School TEACHER’s Manual 9 June 2019)
32 And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him.
33 And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;
34 And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
35 And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.
LESSON INTRODUCTION: As it was discussed in the previous lesson, the finger of God can do wondrous things depending on man’s disposition to God. We shall further examine some of the practical manifestations of the finger of God in the scriptures and how we can benefit from it.

2 LESSON OUTLINES
LESSON OUTLINE 1: FINGER OF MIRACLES AND WAR
A. GOD’S FINGERS FOR MIRACLES
Jesus, God in man, touched several people in His earthly ministry and did several miracles through the touch. For instance:
i. He touched the coffin bearing the corpse of the son of man and the young man arose. Luke 7:11-16.
ii. He was requested to lay hand on the sick Jairus daughter. He took the damsel and she arose. Mark 5:22-23, 41-42.
iii. He touched the blind and he recovered. John 9:6-7.
iv. He touched the leper and he was cleansed. Mark 1:40-42.
In the above cases and others, his touch restored to those who were sorrowful.
B. GOD’S FINGERS FOR WAR
i. God is a man of war. Exodus 15:3-4.
ii. Through his mighty hand on the rod of Moses, the red sea divided to save Israelites and sooner to destroy the Egyptians. Exodus 14:16, 19, 26-28.
iii. Jesus overthrew the tables of money changers, the seats of dove’s sellers and those who wanted to turn the temple to the den of thieves. He cast out the merchants and thereby cleansed the temples. Matt. 21:12-13; Mark 11:15-18.
CLASS ACTIVITY 1: Mention some wars which God fought in the Bible.
LESSON OUTLINE 2: BE A BENEFICIARY AND NOT A VICTIM
A. BE A BENEFICIARY
i. Believers can and should be victorious through the finger of God because God has taught our hands to war and our fingers to fight. Psalm 144:1; 2 Sam. 22:35.
ii. God’s fingers can turn the enemies’ weapons (meant to attack believers) back to the senders or to frustrations. 2 Chron. 20:22-23; Isaiah 49:25; 54:17.
iii. To enjoy the miracles of God, you must be on the side of God, be sanctified and obedient. Dan. 6:19-22; Acts 12:6-7.
B. DO NOT BE A VICTIM
i. To be victim of God’s finger is very simple. All you need to do is to declare yourself as his enemy by disobeying his commandments or commit sin.
ii. Three thousand men decided not be on God’s side and they died by sword just in one day. Exodus 32:26-28.
iii. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Heb. 10:31. Do not be a victim of God’s finger. Num. 16:30-33; Dan. 6:24.
CLASS ACTIVITY 2: What would you tell your friend who claims that God no longer punishes the wicked anymore?
SUMMARY: Ensure you only enjoy the blessing of the finger of God through constant obedience to his commandments and not otherwise.
CONCLUSION: The finger of God is still in operation today. Make up your mind to enjoy its benefits and refuse to be a victim.
EVALUATION: Who is a beneficiary and victim of God?
CLOSING PRAYER: Father, help me never to offend you.
ASSIGNMENT: Give five (5) examples of people who benefited from the finger of God and what they did.

- O Sunday School, on the Lord’s day,
O how I love Thee well,
I am happy, it makes me glad
To rejoice at Thy birth. - O Sunday School, on the Lord’s day, Thy friendship suits me well,
Both young and old will sing Thy song,
We long for Sunday School. - O Sunday School, on the Lord’s day,
Christ was Thy first teacher,
The Holy Spirit, great teacher,
Does manifest in thee. - O Sunday School, on the Lord’s day,
This testimony is sure,
That God, the Father Almighty,
Poured His blessing on Thee. - O Sunday School, on the Lord’s day,
Though the sun be so bright,
Or if the clouds black with rain,
I’ll be in Sunday School. - O Sunday School, on the Lord’s day,
I rejoice to see Thee,
Will thou pass over me today?
Without my being blest?
