Mountain Top Life Daily Devotional 3 August 2023 By Dr. D.K Olukoya – God’s People Are Protected (I)

TOPIC: God’s People Are Protected (I) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Devotional 3 August 2023)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalms 150, Proverbs 1, James 2, James 3

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Psalm 61:1-8 (KJV)

1 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

4 I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

5 For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.

6 Thou wilt prolong the king’s life: and his years as many generations.

7 He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.

8 So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

MEMORY VERSE: “For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.” – Psalms 27:5

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES:
God is a shield to all those who take refuge in Him.

PRAISE AND WORSHIP:

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:
TODAY, GOD WILL BUILD A WALL OF FIRE ROUNDABOUT YOU, BE THE GLORY WITHIN YOU AND SHINE FORTH, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

Truly, the perilous times are here. Both believers and unbelievers are aware of the unpleasant happenings that characterise these last days: pestilences and natural disasters that are killing in millions, insecurity of lives and property evidenced in kidnappings, terrorism and ritual killings, strange deaths through flood, fire outbreaks, auto, boat and air mishaps, among others. Globally, the daily death toll is frightening and the conclusion in the media as well as other quarters is that no one is safe. Beloved, that conclusion is not the position of the Bible. Believers are special species, God’s children, His chosen and favourite people. They are set apart for His glory and He watches over them.

Now that you know that God protects His children from danger, evil and calamity, I counsel you strongly to give your life to Jesus and begin to live under His loving care and protection. How does God guard His people? Let us answer this all important questions. First, He puts them under the precious blood of Jesus (Exodus 12:13; Revelation 12:11). When the angel of death went to kill the firstborn children of the Egyptians, God instructed His children to slaughter a lamb per household and apply the blood to their doorposts and lintels. Those who stayed under the covering of the blood were all spared from death. Today, we overcome satan by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony!

Second, God puts His children in His hand to protect them. John 10:28-29 underscores this, “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.”

Third, God puts His beloved children in a shelter or His shadow. The Bible assures that in the time of trouble, God will hide you in His pavilion and in the secret of His tabernacle as well as set you upon a rock (Psalm 27:5). The word of God also affirms that when you dwell in the secret place of the Most High, you will abide under His shadow. That is divine protection guaranteed!

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

  1. Father, I thank You for protecting me and my family, in the name of Jesus.
  2. I declare that Jehovah is my shelter and my strong tower from the enemy, in the name of Jesus.
  3. I overcome the peril of the last days by the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

  1. This year and beyond, no evil shall befall me and my family, in the name of Jesus.
  2. I declare that the Lord is my rock, refuge and strong tower, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Blood of Jesus, shield and shelter me, in the name of Jesus.
  4. This year and beyond, I declare that I shall be a victor and not a victim, in the name of Jesus.
