The MESSAGE:

One of the important steps we must take to make 2019 a supernaturally blessed year for us is to always thankfully and praisefully invite God’s enthroned presence. Praise is a believer’s potent weapon of spiritual warfare. Praise brings the Man of War and the Lord of hosts and Commander of the armies of heaven to fight your battle. If God be for you, no one can be against you. When God arises for your sake, all your enemies will be scattered and destroyed. Praise is the veritable key to provoke God to arise for your sake and scatter your visible and invisible enemies.

Paul and Silas praised God and God came down in form of an earthquake. The One who is mighty to save and deliver shook the prison foundation, broke the doors and locks open, loosed all chains, fetters and manacles and set all the prisoners free. All these to the consternation of the prison guards whose leader would have killed himself. The head of the prison guards, on account of this supernatural intervention and deliverance, gave his life to God along with members of his household. In 2 Chronicles 20, when Judah was confronted by mortal enemies, Moab and Ammon, the people sought God in fasting, prayer and with faith in His word (2 Chronicles 20:1-14). Then the word of the Lord came through a prophet, “Do not be afraid… for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” The victory came in a strange but powerful manner. The Levites stood and praised the Lord God of Israel with voices loud and high. Then some were actually appointed to sing to the Lord and praise Him in the beauty of holiness. They went before the army, saying, “Praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever.” The result of this powerful praise was total victory!

Beloved, be proactive this year. Don’t make prayer your response to unpleasant situations alone. It is better to let praise go ahead of you as the singers led the army of Juhah against enemy forces. If you do, you will always see God powerfully working in your favour. His awesome presence will always be with you. Praise God in the day, at night, all the time. Make it your lifestyle.

Note that the people of Judah who were once living in the fear and danger of the enemy allied forces after praising God experienced divine intervention, the complete routing and defeat of the confederacy that rose against them and they spent three full days in gathering and carrying abundant spoils they got from the dead enemies. On the fourth day, they assembled in the Valley of Berachah and blessed the Lord there for giving them victory and joy over their enemies. The Bible says that the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries when they heard that the LORD fought against the enemies of Israel and the realm of Jehoshaphat was quite for His God gave him rest all around. Beloved, when you praise God and He performs wonders in your life, still thank and praise Him the more in appreciation of His faithfulness and goodness. Praise works wonders.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
EARTH, WITH HER THOUSAND VOICES, PRAISE GOD.
