DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST COCIN DEVOTIONAL WEDNESDAY 3RD JANUARY 2024
TEXT: ISAIAH 43:14-19
14. This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “For your sake I will send to Babylon and bring down as fugitives all the Babylonians, in the ships in which they took pride.
15. I am the Lord, your Holy One, Israel’s Creator, your King.”
16. This is what the Lord says— he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters,_
17. Who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick:
18. “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
19. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
TOPIC: THE LORD, THE HOLY ONE.
Yesterday, we learnt that His name is Holy. Today’s text reveals that the Lord is the Holy One, who restores people back to Himself, makes a way through the sea, makes a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. He does not dwell on the past and is always doing a new thing. This means that there is nothing impossible with Him. What are you passing through right now? Is it addiction, sexual immorality, stealing, hatred, family crises, sickness, unfaithfulness? Are you struggling to get out of a miserable life? The Lord, the Holy One, is ready to restore you back to Himself in love. Repent and be ready to live a holy life.
REFLECTION: The Lord is a God of impossibilities.
PRAYER: Thank you Father, for doing a new thing in my life. Amen.
Today’s Bible Reading Plan: Genesis 6-9.
