WEDNESDAY JANUARY 17, 2024 EXCELLENT SACRIFICE

KEY VERSE: “Out of all your gifts ye shall offer every heave offering of the LORD, of all the best thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it.” (NUMBER 18:29)

BIBLE TEXT: NUMBERS 18:26-30

After Abigail got dressed up for Sunday service, her mother gave her a clean currency note to give as offering unto the Lord. She was curious and asked why the money was so clean. The mother responded that we have to give the best to God.

In our Bible passage, the Lord instructed the Levites to offer the best of their farm produce or the best of their offering to God. Today, as God’s children, you must always give an excellent and acceptable offering to God. Do not use your offering to buy biscuits, sweet, bread, juice or other things. If you do so, God will not be pleased with you.

Giving is not only limited to tithes and offering. You can give to God by offering service in the church like – cleaning, ushering, singing in the choir, prayer warriors etc. If you give God your best, He will give you His best in return. So give to the Lord today. Remember, the best gift to give to God is your heart. Ask Jesus to wash you clean and live in your heart from today.

PRAYER: Lord, I give to You all that I have.
