It took a great deal of faith for Abraham and Sarah to follow the call of a God they did not know, leave their homeland in Ur, and travel to the unknown land of Canaan. It took even more faith for them to believe God would do the impossible and give them an heir. Even though at times their trust in God’s plan wavered—and they tried to take matters into their own hands—in the end they learned that God always fulfills His promises in His own time.
