Pastor’s Pen – GLORIOUS GRACE – Trials
Word seems insufficient in describing the word glory; this is because glory has different levels and people experiences it differently. Glory is better appreciated when compared to shame, just as light when compared to darkness. For us as Christians, to experience the glory of God, we may have to undergo some transformational process called TRIALS, which will help manifest God’s glory in our lives 1 Peter 2 v 9.
Fruits of Trials:
Steadfastness – As Christians, trials helps us to be mature and well developed, not deficient in any ways. James 1 v 2- 4.
Glorious future – Joseph, Moses and David’s lives, depicts how God trains his children in preparation for his promises for their lives. Psalm 66 v 11, Romans 8 v 28.
Crown of Life – It helps us run the race set before us with perseverance that enables us to receive the crown of life James 1 v 12.
It’s important to note, that without the grace of God, it’s impossible to endure this race to the end; for the flesh would want to give up and look for alternatives. Don’t seek alternatives because it will result to shame but hold onto Jesus who will in due time glorify himself in your life. Hebrews 10 v 23.
