🍒🌽DUNAMIS SEEDS OF DESTINY A DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY DR. PASTOR PAUL ENENCHE.

DATE: SATURDAY, 14TH MARCH, 2026.
TOPIC: THE VALUE OF DILIGENCE.
SCRIPTURE: Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. Proverbs 22:29.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is not possible to be slack and not lack.
It is very crucial to note that life is a fertile ground. What you reap is a product of what you sow. That is why it is said that no one works for another person. No one works for the government or for an organization; everyone works for themselves.
Everyone’s work directly impacts their life and destiny.
While Joseph was in prison, he was asked by the captain of the guard to look after other prisoners, amongst whom were the butler and the baker of the king whose dreams he later interpreted. What he did there was not his job description—to interpret dreams.
They wouldn’t penalise him if he failed to do it because it was not part of his job description. But he knew that he was working for his life. So, he needed to do whatever was necessary, even if it was not on his schedule of duty. And that was his gateway to the palace.
We live in a world where people blame others for their own lives. And I can assure you, whether you are a gardener, a driver, or a CEO, there is no limit to what you can become in the Hands of God if you are diligent.
Now, what is diligence?
1. Diligence equals industriousness. It means being a man or a woman with whom the word laziness does not apply. “Seest thou a man who is industrious in life? I will show you where he will be. He will not stand before mean men. He will stand before kings.” (Proverbs 22:29, paraphrased).
It is not possible to be slack and lead. It is not possible to be slack and not lack. Many of us are in places where we don’t have direct supervision, so we just do as we want. However, don’t forget that the system of the world is structured to reward seeds (Genesis 8:22).
Some people think that when we are done with Commanding the Day Midnight Prayer, it means we go straight to sleep, but it is not so. After Commanding the Day Midnight Prayer, we progress into the day’s work, setting out the day before retiring to rest.
2. Diligence equals strategic action.
This means not working mindlessly. Diligence is connecting mentality to activity. You are not just using your hand to work; you are using your head to work. Your head is involved. Your thought is involved. That is the difference between the wheelbarrow pusher and the financial expert. The difference between the wheelbarrow pusher, the truck driver, and the man who is transacting in millions of dollars legitimately is brainwork.
Remember this: It is not possible to be slack and not lack
