*TOPIC: THE SUPREMACY OF KNOWING GOD.*
SCRIPTURE: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33
*THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It does not matter what or who you don’t know; if you know God, you know so much.*
The Scripture makes it clear that those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits. There are many kinds of knowledge, which include: intellectual knowledge, scientific knowledge, occult knowledge, divine knowledge, etc.
Some people know the dark kingdom, but the highest form of knowledge is Divine knowledge—the knowledge of God. The knowledge of God beats all other kinds of knowledge.
Now, there are a few things to note about the knowledge of God:
a. It does not matter what or who you don’t know; if you know God, you know so much. And it doesn’t matter who or what you know; if you don’t know God, you don’t know anything.
b. The one who knows God is at a higher level of living than the one who only knows people.
c. The quest to genuinely know God is the most important quest in life (Matthew 6:33).
d. The knowledge of God is inexhaustible; the more we know Him, the more we realise how much we don’t know Him.
Scripture says His knowledge is beyond comprehension.
Now, what will the knowledge of God do for you?
The knowledge of God impacts humility and a desperate, continuous hunger for God. It will make you humble and permanently hungry for God. The man who is proud of his knowledge of God does not really know God.
e. The knowledge of God is in degrees, and we don’t all know God at the same degree.
f. The degree of our knowledge of God determines the degree of His Glory we reflect. We don’t all know God at the same level, so we don’t reflect His Glory at the same level.
g. The knowledge of God may initially bring you rejection from men, but it will eventually bring you distinction from God. Human beings may hate you because they think you are too spiritual, but eventually, you stand out in your generation.
Beloved, those who know God are known by God and cannot be unknown on earth.
REMEMBER THIS: It does not matter what or who you don’t know; if you know God, you know so much.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Determine to look away from man because what you are looking for is in God and not with man
2. Desperately desire to know God through the study of His Word and prayer
3. Ask God for the grace to know Him experientially.
PRAYER: Father, knowing You is what my heart desires. I want to know You more than any wisdom, art or science. Help me to know You more, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
