Topic: The Abuse Of Grace And Eternal Damnation
The abuse of grace leads to eternal damnation in hellfire. To claim that grace is a license to live anyhow is to find oneself in eternal hellfire where there is no way out.
SCRIPTURE: For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins. But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despise Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Hebrews 10:26-28.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The abuse of grace leads to eternal damnation.
The grace of God which is given to help us live a sin-free life has been used by many in our days to brazenly commit sin and excuse it away. There are people who live anyhow they want in the name of grace. Some preachers teach that once you are saved, you are forever saved and that it does not matter the sin you commit. That is a lie from the pit of hell; that is an abuse of grace.
The essence of grace is to make us wax strong in spirit (Luke 2:40); grace makes people to be Christ-like in every aspect. It teaches people to deny ungodliness and worldly lust (Titus 2:11-12); grace empowers people to live soberly in righteousness and godliness in this present world (Titus 2:11-12), and causes people to abound unto good work (2 Corinthians 9:8). So, grace helps us to live right; it is not a license to live wrong.
Jude 1:4-7 (NLT) says,…some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvellous grace allows us to live immoral lives. The condemnation of such people was recorded long ago, for they have denied our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. So I want to remind you, though you already know these things, that Jesus first rescued the nation of Israel from Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not remain faithful.
So, there is nothing like if you are saved today, you remain saved permanently regardless of how you live.
Beloved, please be mindful of this: church welcomes everybody as they are so they can be changed, but not so with heaven. The abuse of grace leads to eternal damnation in hellfire. To claim that grace is a license to live anyhow is to find oneself in eternal hellfire where there is no way out. That will not be your portion in Jesus’ Name.
REMEMBER THIS: The abuse of grace leads to eternal damnation.
