Topic: The Power Of Decision
Many people have not left where they are because they don’t know what to do; and they don’t know what to do because they don’t know what they want.
SCRIPTURE: And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Many people have not left where they are because they don’t know what to do; and they don’t know what to do because they don’t know what they want.
Previously, we saw some key facts on decision. We saw that decision assists discretion; decision fuels determination and decision determines distinction.
Today, we shall be looking at yet another key fact about decision which is, Decision powers action.
Decisive people are proactive people because decision powers action. Many people don’t know what to do because they don’t know what they want. If you really know what you want, you will not wait for anybody to show you what to do.
Sometime ago, I called a man and told him that I wanted to assist him financially. So, I asked him the kind of business he would want to do, and he replied: “Let me think about it and come back.” I was shocked that he did not know what to do. After six months, he still did not know what to do. Today, the man is more than forty years of age, yet, he does not know what to do with his life.
Then the Lord told me: “People are not stagnated by accident.” Some people might have been stagnated because they were victims of witchcraft attack but no one would be stagnated by chance. This man remained at one point because he did not know what to do. Many people have not left where they are because they don’t know what to do; and they don’t know what to do because they don’t know what they want.
Beloved, make the decision to know what you want out of life.
Remember this: Many people have not left where they are because they don’t know what to do; and they don’t know what to do because they don’t know what they want.
