*TOPIC: THINK UP AND GO UP*
SCRIPTURE: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2
*THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is not possible to think up and stay down in life.*
The mind is a major asset of life. It can also be a major challenge of life when it is improperly deployed. That is why 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 says, For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
An evil imagination will tell you, “Look at your family; how many people live to be 40 years old? How many marriages succeeded?” but the Scripture says you should, “Cast down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”
When the devil brings up those evil imaginations, tell the devil to watch and see how you will be the first person to escape those negative family patterns.
Don’t ever forget this as long as you live: it is unto you according to your faith. It is also unto you according to your thought. For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he. Proverbs 23:7.
Most times, things don’t happen to people by accident; it is according to their thoughts. Ephesians 3:20.
So, God does not only answer your asking; He also answers your thinking.
Some time ago, I wanted to assist a young man who has been stranded for years. I wanted to assist him with some money to start up a business. I told him, “I have money for you. What can you do? What is on your mind?” He said he wanted to think about it. I didn’t see him again until about six months later. I asked him again what he wanted to do. To my surprise, he replied, “I will see you when I am sure of what to do.”
Can you imagine hearing that from a man who was stranded?
That was the first time I heard from God that most times, things don’t happen to people by accident. Since you don’t know people’s minds, you cannot determine their actions. I thought the man was stranded because of a demonic attack; little did I know it was a mental attack— mental bankruptcy.
Beloved, be determined to think well; you can’t think up and stay down in life. You can’t think forward and go backward. You can’t think authority and end up in captivity.
Attune your mind to positive inspiration and revelation. Attuning your mind is a continuous assignment because everything in our world wants to confront your mind and make you wonder if you are the next victim. When you hear bad news, there is a tendency for it to affect your mindset negatively. So, you watch what flows into your mind continually.
REMEMBER THIS: It is not possible to think up and stay down in life.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
Renew your mind daily with the Word of God.
Confront every negative thought with the light of the Scripture.
PRAYER: Father, I attune my mind with the light of Your Word, and I refuse to think downwards. I cast down evil imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. And I bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
