RCCG Sunday School Teens Teacher’s Manual 1 September 2019 – Lesson 1
INTRODUCTION: You are welcome to another year of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. Last year, we discussed extensively on dominion. We pray that you will walk in dominion in all areas of your life in Jesus’ name. This year, our theme is “THE PATH TO GLORY”. It is our prayer that you will encounter God’s glory as we study the zeal this year in Jesus’ name.
STUDY GUIDE
A. What Is Glory?
Literarily speaking, glory can be difficult to define but we can say that “glory” can be described as “honour or distinction or greatness, achieved by someone” But the word “glory” on the scriptures, is used to describe the manifestation of God’s presence, His Majesty!
B. Description of Glory:
1 The glory of God is awesome – Ex. 40:35.
2 The glory of God sanctifies – Ex. 29:43.
3 The glory of God is seen in His works – Ps.8:1
C. Whose is the glory? – Find out from the following scriptures – Ps.57:5; 4:2; 19:1; Mark 10:37.
In the scriptures above, it is evident that all glory belongs to God.
D. What should we do with God’s glory?
1 Do not share His glory – Isa.42:8, Acts 12:21-23.
2 Always give Him the glory – Ps.29:2.
3 Acknowledge the greatness and splendor of His Majesty through honour, praise and worship.
DISCUSSION: Have you ever thought of the glory of God in you? It is unmeasured grace given to man…Let’s discuss this grace.
INVITATION/APPLICATION: The glory of God can be made manifest in your life. But you need to have a relationship with God. If you already have, improve on it and you will have more of His glory manifesting in your life. If you do not have, then start a relationship with Him from today by surrendering your life to Jesus Christ.
CONCLUSION: The glory of God is manifest right from the beginning of creation. Everything God does is glorious. None can be compared with Him. And because we are created in the image of God, this divine glory can be made manifest in our lives.
PRAYER: Father, show me your glory.

Sunday School Hymn
- O Sunday School, on the Lord’s day,
O how I love Thee well,
I am happy, it makes me glad
To rejoice at Thy birth. - O Sunday School, on the Lord’s day,
Thy friend friendship suits me well,
Both young and old will sing Thy song,
We long for Sunday School. - O Sunday School, on the Lord’s day,
Christ was Thy first teacher,
The Holy Spirit, great teacher,
Does manifest in thee. - O Sunday School, on the Lord’s day,
This testimony is sure,
That God, the Father Almighty,
Poured His blessing on Thee. - O Sunday School, on the Lord’s day,
Though the sun be so bright,
Or if the clouds be black with rain,
I’ll be in Sunday School. - O Sunday School, on the Lord’s day,
I rejoice to see Thee,
Will thou pass over me today?
Without my being blest?
