BIBLE PASSAGE: 1 Thessalonian 4:13-18 KJV (RCCG Sunday School TEACHER’s Manual 21 July 2019)
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
MEMORY VERSE: “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” – John 14:3 (scroll down for RCCG Sunday School 21 July 2019 HYMN)
LESSON INTRODUCTION: Acts 1:10-11 describes the ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ as being personal, bodily, visible and with power. The second coming of our Lord will be in like manner. It will be in two stages: The rapture which is secret (1 Thess. 4:15-17), when the Lord comes for His saints and we meet Him in the air and the revelation that is public (Rev. 1:7), when the Lord comes with His saints to set up the millennium (1 Thess. 3:13). The time of His coming is a secret only God knows. (Matt. 24:36).

RCCG Sunday School 21 July 2019 HYMN
- O Sunday School, on the Lord’s day,
O how I love Thee well,
I am happy, it makes me glad
To rejoice at Thy birth. - O Sunday School, on the Lord’s day, Thy friendship suits me well,
Both young and old will sing Thy song,
We long for Sunday School. - O Sunday School, on the Lord’s day,
Christ was Thy first teacher,
The Holy Spirit, great teacher,
Does manifest in thee. - O Sunday School, on the Lord’s day,
This testimony is sure,
That God, the Father Almighty,
Poured His blessing on Thee. - O Sunday School, on the Lord’s day,
Though the sun be so bright,
Or if the clouds black with rain,
I’ll be in Sunday School. - O Sunday School, on the Lord’s day,
I rejoice to see Thee,
Will thou pass over me today?
Without my being blest?
