MEMORISE
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. – (1 Peter 5:7)
READ: 2 Kings 4:1-7 (KJV)
1 Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the Lord: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.
2 And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.
3 Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.
4 And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.
5 So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.
6 And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.
7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.
MESSAGE
Today, I will discuss God’s unlimited capacity to meet all your needs with His unlimited resources. The Bible is filled with many accounts that show that God is unlimited when it comes to supplying the needs of His children, and today’s Bible reading is one of such accounts. The widow of a man of God was in a really terrible situation because she was in a lot of debt, and her creditors had come to take her two sons as slaves to pay it off. Thankfully, the woman ran to Elisha to tell him about her ordeal. By running to the man of God, she invited the Unlimited God into her situation, and not only did He meet her immediate needs, He also provided for her future needs.
Beloved, God is not limited by what you have or do not have to provide for your needs. He is not limited by who you know or do not know to supply the resources you need. His resources are unlimited, so unlimited that He can wipe out all the debt you might be owing in one day, no matter how huge they are. He is Jehovah El-Shaddai, which some Bible scholars translate as ‘The Mother’s Breast’. In a mother’s breast, there is enough milk for her babies to feed. God is unlimited, and He can supply whatever you need. Some Bible scholars have also said that when Jesus said, “If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it,” in John 14:14, He was actually saying, “If you ask for something that I haven’t created already, I will create it for you.” That is how unlimited our God is.
In John 1:1-3, the Bible says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” Because God made all things, He owns all things, and because He owns all things, He can use anything He deems fit to ensure that your needs are met. Never doubt that God cares for you. If He ensures that the birds of the air don’t lack what to eat daily (Matthew 6:25-26), then He will abundantly supply your needs. Put all your trust in the Unlimited God; He is more than able to supply all your needs according to His unlimited riches (Philippians 4:19).
KEY POINT
The Unlimited God truly cares for you, and He has more than enough to meet your needs.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR
Deuteronomy 9 – 11
HYMN 27 – WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS
1. What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear;
what a privilege to carry
Ev’rything to God in prayer. Oh, what peace we often forfeit, Oh, what needless pain we bear- All because we do not carry Ev’rything to God in prayer.
2. Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged, Take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a Friend so faithful Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our ev’ry weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
3. Are we weak and heavy laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Saviour, still our refuge, Take it to the Lord in prayer. Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer. In His arms He’ll take and shield thee, Thou wilt find a solace there.
