TOPIC: Turning Point [Open Heaven for Teens 6 April 2023]
MEMORISE: When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Psalms 126:1
READ: Psalms 126:1-5
1 (A Song of degrees.) When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.
3 The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
4 Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.
5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 2 Samuel 17-19
MESSAGE
Only God can step into your situation and bring about a turning point, just like Zion experienced in our text. A turning point is a sudden, miraculous and complete change of situation. When God introduces a turning point in your life, hopelessness becomes hopefulness, sadness becomes joy failure becomes success, weakness becomes strength, poverty becomes prosperity, and stumbling blocks become stepping stones to greatness.

Turning points can be in different categories based on the choices you make in life. When things go from bad to good, good to bad, bad to worse, good to better, they are all turning points depending on the one you experience. It is my prayer that the only turning points you will experience from now on will be from bad to good and good to better, in Jesus’ name. My dear child, the only thing that can bring about negative turning points is drifting away from God and going against His will for you. Thus, stay on track with God.
ACTION POINT:
Repent and ask God for mercy if you are experiencing any negative turning point in your life.
HYMN 13 – Pass Me Not, O Gentle Saviour
- Pass me not, O gentle Saviour,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
CHORUS
Saviour Saviour,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
- Let me, at Thy throne of mercy
Find a sweet relief;
Kneeling there in deep contrition,
Help my unbelief. - Trusting only in Thy merit
Would I seek Thy face
Heal my wounded, broken spirit,
Save me by Thy grace. - Thou, the spring of all my comfort,
More than life to me.
Whom have I on earth beside Thee?
Whom in heaven but Thee
