TOPIC: Wasteful [Open Heaven for Teens 27 February 2023]
MEMORISE: When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. John 6:12
READ: Luke 15:13-16
13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Deuteronomy 20-22
MESSAGE:
As a child of God, you should always use the resources at your disposal. If you have a thing and you feel it is of no use to you, instead of throwing it away or wasting it, give it out to someone who needs it.

My dear child, if you do not want to experience lack like the prodigal son, learn to manage anything you have in your possession; it will come in handy later. There is no doubt that many children born into wealthy homes lack the ability to manage or spend wisely because they have in abundance.
God has not given us dominion over all things just for us to be ungrateful by wasting what He has blessed us with. If you cannot manage, then give what you think is excess to others. You might just be saving someone’s life.
ACTION POINT
All the things that you have not used in the last one year, take permission from your parents to give them out.
HYMN 11 – O Lord My God! When Am In Awesome Wonder
O lord my God!
When am in awesome wonder,
consider all
The worlds thy hands hath made
I see the stars,
I heard the rolling thunder
Thy pow’r thro’ out
The universe displayed
And when I think
That God, His Son not sparing
Sent Him to die
I scare can take it in;
That on the cross,
My burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died
To take away my sin.
Then through the woods
And forest glads I wander,
And hear the birds
Sing sweetly in the tress;
When I look down
From lofty mountain grandeur
And hear the brook
And feel the gentle breeze
