1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:

3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

Prayer is the greatest force in the universe. It is the weapon on which other weapons of our spiritual warfare depend because you get to engage all other weapons in God’s armoury in the place of prayer.

The following are some interesting and eye-opening definitions of prayer: (1) It is offering one’s heart’s desire unto God in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and by the help of the Holy Spirit. (2) It is the greatest privilege of a redeemed soul. (3) It is the key of the morning and the bolt of the night. (4) It is conversing and fellowshipping with God. It is a love affair with God. (5) It is the greatest outlet of power. (6) It is a perpetual force, against all powers of darkness in all their ramifications. (7) It puts a believer in a place of advantage.

As Christians, we cannot afford to dwell forever in the simplest realm of prayer. We need to go higher and further by exploring the depth that Elijah the prophet operated in. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. (James 5:17). Prayer moves the hand that moves the world. Therefore, as you enroll in the school of prayer, you must make serious efforts to move unto maturity.

Prayer is one of life’s deepest mysteries. There is no substitute for it. A Christian is greatest on his or her knees. Every great move of God can be traced to a kneeling figure or figures. Prayer is the only thing the devil cannot do and he trembles greatly when a Christian prays.

Beloved, you can rewrite your history on your knees like Jabez. You can stop the enemy’s agenda for your nation through prayers like Esther. You can control the elemental forces to your advantage through prayers like Joshua.

When it hard to pray, then it is time to pray hard. When you are down, pray! When you are up, pray!! Pray, pray, pray until your joy is full.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. My prayer altar, receive fire, in the name of Jesus.
2. Authority of ease, enter my prayer life, in the name of Jesus.
3. I overcome distractions in the place of prayer, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. My prayer arrows, locate your target, in the name of Jesus.
5. Unbelief in the place of prayer, begone, in the name of Jesus.
6. Heaven over my prayer life, Ephphatha, in the name of Jesus.
7. Pray in the spirit for a few minutes.
