The Rebuilders Prayer Retreat is a quarterly prayer gathering designed to usher believers into a deeper dimension of spiritual empowerment. This March 2026 edition carries a prophetic weight that aligns with the overall theme of the year: “The Year of Deliverance and Exemption.”
The Prophetic Vision for This Season
According to the event organizers, we are living in the last days, and the return of our Lord Jesus Christ is at hand. Yet in these days of darkness, confusion, and shaking, God has made us a promise: “I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh” (Joel 2:28-29).
God is raising an army—sons and daughters filled with fire, clothed with authority, and commissioned as restorers and rebuilders of everything sin, time, and the enemy have stolen (Isaiah 61:3-4). This generation will not sit in ruins; we will arise and build.

“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified. And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.”
This scripture reveals the divine exchange:
Beauty for ashes – God replaces destruction with glory
Oil of joy for mourning – Sorrow turns to celebration
Garment of praise for spirit of heaviness – Depression becomes worship
Trees of righteousness – Stability, fruitfulness, and strength
The result: WE SHALL BUILD. The old wastes shall be rebuilt. The former desolations shall be raised up. The waste cities shall be repaired.
The Call of the Nehemiah Generation
The retreat declares: “This is the hour for the emergence of a new generation of Nehemiahs—men and women burdened for the broken walls and shattered foundations of families, communities, households, and economies. Heaven is calling for builders, watchmen, and intercessors who will stand in the gap and refuse to let the ruins remain.”
Nehemiah’s Example (Nehemiah 2:17-18):
He saw the broken walls
He sat down and wept
He arose and built
He inspired others to join him
The Divine Challenge
“How long will you remain where you are? You say you are waiting on God, but God is waiting on you—to rise, to move, and to walk in the power and authority He has already released.”

The Focus: 7 Hours of Praying in Tongues
The Rebuilders Prayer Retreat emphasizes 7 hours of praying in the Holy Ghost. This is significant because praying in tongues is not just a spiritual exercise; it is a divine weapon for building up oneself and engaging in supernatural warfare.
Scriptures on Praying in the Spirit
1 Corinthians 14:4 – “He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself.” Praying in tongues builds up your spirit man. It strengthens your inner man and charges your spiritual batteries.
Jude 1:20 – “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.” Praying in the Spirit builds your faith. It takes you from natural reasoning to supernatural believing.

Praying in tongues releases perfect prayers according to the will of God.
Ephesians 6:18 – “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.” Praying in the Spirit is part of the whole armor of God. It is essential for spiritual warfare.

Seven hours of prayer is not a random number. In Scripture, seven represents completeness and perfection. Seven hours of praying in the Holy Ghost signifies:
Complete surrender – Laying down your time, your agenda, your strength before God
Total breakthrough – Pressing through until every chain breaks
Full empowerment – Receiving everything the Spirit has for you
Divine alignment – Coming into perfect sync with God’s will

Prayer for the Spirit of the Rebuilder
Father, I come before You asking for the Spirit of the Rebuilder. Let me not be content with ruins. Let me not accept brokenness as permanent. Give me the burden of Nehemiah—to see the broken walls and to arise and build.
Prayer for Empowerment Through the Holy Ghost
Lord, as I pray in the Holy Ghost, let me be empowered. Let my spirit man be built up. Let my faith be strengthened. Let every prayer I pray in the Spirit be perfectly aligned with Your will.
Prayer for the Restoration of Wasted Years
Father, I declare that the years the locusts have eaten are restored. Every wasted season is redeemed. Every lost opportunity is recovered. I receive beauty for ashes.

Lord, I pray for every broken foundation in my life—family, finances, health, relationships. Let them be restored. Let what was destroyed be rebuilt stronger than before.
