COMMENCEMENT OF ONLINE SERVICES FROM SUNDAY MARCH 22, 2020
In the view of the global health crisis posed by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and in a bid to curb its spread, the Lagos State government has proactively issued a statement prohibiting mass gatherings of more than 50 persons.
We, at House On The Rock, are in full support of this and remain committed to doing everything possible to halt the spread of the virus within our community, the state and ultimately the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
While the measures being implemented by the authorities will no doubt limit our movements and disrupt our way of life, it is a small price to pay to ensure the safety of us all, particularly those who are more vulnerable to this virus. We ask that you please comply with the guidelines given by the World Health Organisation (https://www.who.int/
Consequently, House On The Rock is suspending all gatherings including Church services, classes, meetings and other programmes scheduled to take place at The Rock Cathedral, Lekki and The Rock Chapel, Ikeja Lagos, until further notice.
Even though we will not be meeting physically, our Church services will hold exclusively online and can be viewed on all our digital platforms beginning this Sunday, 22nd March, 2020 at 9:00am WAT (West Africa Time). Services will be streamed on Facebook Live (@houseontherock), YouTube (HOTRLagos) and on our website – houseontherock.org.ng
Please share the service time and digital platform information with your family, friends and loved ones so you can all join us online and build up your faith and hope through biblical exhortations and sermons. We must not give in to fear, helplessness and discouragement, “For God says – do not be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” ( Isaiah 41:10 (TLB))
We will keep abreast of the situation and hope to resume normal activities once the threat of exposure has been averted and restrictions lifted. In the meantime, we will keep you updated via our platforms. For any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us via our social media platforms on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Remember, you are not alone. We continue to pray for you, our community, our nation and the world at large, even as we speak peace to every troubled heart and health and healing to the sick. This too shall pass.
We look forward to seeing you online this Sunday. God bless you.
