A third reward of waiting on God
is that you receive victory in battles.
In addition to discovering God’s will and
receiving supernatural strength, you will also receive victory in battles when you wait on the Lord. Proverbs 20:22 states,
“Wait for the LORD, and He will save you.” When you try to do things your way,
in your own hurried time, you end up defeated because you lack the experience, wisdom, vision, and power to fight your battles effectively. But when you are patient and obey God’s commands, He ensures your victory and keeps you from acting foolishly or precipitously.
