Choose a time of the day to spend with God.

First, choose a definite time of the day to spend with the Lord in prayer. Praying only when your schedule allows it or when your needs become urgent shows a lack of appreciation for the opportunity God offers. The time of day you choose —whether early in the morning, late in the evening, or sometime in between—is not the issue. Rather, consistency is the key. Ask God to show you the perfect time when you can be alone with Him.
