Topic: A Better Day
[DCLM Daily Manna 19 March 2019 Daily Devotional by Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]
Text: Isaiah 35:1-10 (KJV)
Key Verse: “And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away” (Isaiah 35:10).
MESSAGE:
Since the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, the world has not got rest. There is prevalence of evil and wickedness, ranging from family coups, inter-tribal wars, civil war, cold war, world war, international war, sicknesses and diseases, political insurrections, economic and social problems, natural disasters, abominable and unimaginable occurrences of kidnapping, homosexuality, ritual killing, cannibalism, armed robbery and assassination, environmental pollution and operational disasters.
The good news, however, is that evil will not continue forever. Our text foreshadows Christ’s millennial reign. It will be a time of monumental recoveries, spiritual joy, encouragement, victory over enemies of God’s children, and restoration of sight to the blind. This glorious event will certainly take place. Although, at the moment, the United Nations and some other agencies are trying their best to ensure social peace around the world, their efforts yield little or no results.

There can never be true peace in this present world until Christ’s millennial reign. Besides, some of these events are even signals that Christ will soon come and that the world will soon come to an end, thus, ushering in the glorious reign of our Lord Jesus Christ.
For anyone to partake in this glorious Kingdom, he must have accepted Christ as personal Lord and Saviour, and daily live to please Him. Remaining steadfast in holiness and righteousness will afford us the opportunity of going in the rapture when Christ comes.
Thought For The Day – Don’t despair: better days are ahead.
