SUB-THEME: THE GOD OF PEACE.
TOPIC: PEACE EVEN IN DEATH.
TEXT: ISAIAH 57:1-2.

2 and now they have peace. They lived righteously, and now they rest peacefully in their graves.
MESSAGE:
The phrase, “Rest in peace”, or “Peaceful transition” is common when someone exits this world.
One may ask, how peaceful is the transition?
True, we are sojourns on earth and shall one day die. This passage makes it clear that the righteous and devout are taken away to be spared from evil. At death they enter into peace and find rest. Verily, their death is a peaceful transition to heavenly bliss void of troubles, pains and sorrows. Alas, the death of the wicked is not a peaceful transition, because hellfire is awaiting them (see Luke 16:22-26).
Where will your destiny at death be?
Make it right with God now so that you can have peace at death and be ushered into everlasting life.
REFLECTION:
Where will you spend eternity?
PRAYER:
Father, that I may experience a peaceful transition. Amen.
