COCIN Devotional 3RD APRIL 2023 TOPIC: PEACE WITH THE FATHER

TEXT: ROMANS 5:1-5.

1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus the Messiah. Isa 32:17 Joh 16:33 Eph 2:13 [Act 10:36] [Eph 2:14] [Phi 4:7] [Col 1:20]

2 Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace by which we have been established, and we boast because of our hope in God’s glory. Joh 10:9 Joh 14:6 1Co 15:1 Eph 2:18 Eph 3:12 Heb 3:6 Heb 10:19

3 Not only that, but we also boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, Jas 1:3 [Jas 1:2] [1Pe 1:6]

4 endurance produces character, and character produces hope.

5 Now this hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. [Phi 1:20]

MESSAGE:

The only peace that has guarantee is the one Jesus offers. Our reading confirms this that “We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ…” and this peace grants us access to God, grace to stand, joy in hope and suffering. As a believer, the past holds no sting against you. You are enjoyed to love God in spite of all odds. While you love God, you will face tribulations such as denial of rights, ridicule, insults and even threats to life. Do not worry because you have peace with the Father. The means of accessing peace with the Father is by accepting Jesus Christ who died on the cross. Have you accepted him? If not, do so now, that you can have peace with the Father.

REFLECTION:

Be at peace with the Father!

Let your peace continually reign in my heart Lord. Amen.
