Daily Devotional with Ray Stedman Wednesday, March 7th

Topic: Citizens of Heaven A daily devotion for March 7th

Read the Scripture: Philippians 1:27
Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Phil 1:27a

Daily Devotional with Ray Stedman Wednessday March 7th, 2018 – Citizens of Heaven

Paul uses an interesting word here, translated “conduct” in the NIV. It is a word from which we get our English word “politics,” or “politician.” The Greek word is politeuma, a word that means your conduct as a citizen or a colony. This is the first indication in this letter of a unique condition in the city of Philippi. Everyone in that city was aware that its citizens were citizens of Rome even though they were a thousand miles away. This was because of the great battle that had been won by the Roman Emperor, and in gratitude to the residents they were made citizens of Rome. Daily Devotional with Ray Stedman

Paul builds on this idea and says to them, in effect, you Christians in Philippi are members of another government. You cannot have the same attitude to the rest of the citizens of Philippi. You belong to a colony of heaven; therefore you must behave like citizens of heaven. You must let your manner of conduct be worthy of the government to which you belong, the kingdom of God and the gospel of Christ.

How should you live as a citizen of heaven? Paul mentions two essential things. First, “stand firm in one Spirit.” Never depart from complete dependency on the Spirit of God to do through you everything that needs to be done. The Christian life is lived by a totally different process than you lived before you came to Christ. It is God’s life through you. It is the indwelling Lord Jesus expressing Himself in terms of your human personality. Never depart from that. The second essential is to never let anything but serious heresy keep you from working side by side in the gospel. Daily Devotional with Ray Stedman

Now interestingly enough, all the wiles of the devil, all the thrust and power of his activity is aimed at these two things. To keep us from observing them, the enemy tests us first on one point, and if he can’t derail us there he goes to the other point. First, he tries to get you to depend upon yourself, not on the indwelling life of Christ, and to make you therefore fearful, worried, discouraged, impatient, or upset with something. Haven’t you felt this? This is the attack of the enemy, trying to budge you from your position in Christ which makes for victory.

Whenever we get discouraged we are depending on ourselves. We’re discouraged because we were expecting that we could do something and we failed. We’ve been self-confident, counting on ourselves, thinking we have all it takes to do the job. We think we don’t need any help from God. We then move from that position of dependency on God’s Spirit. We get worried, anxious, fearful, timid, impatient. We have yielded to the attack of the enemy and temporarily have shifted from that position of dependency.

You are still reading Daily Devotional with Ray Stedman

If that doesn’t work, and we stand firm, then the enemy tries another strategy. He tries to make a breach between us and those who labor with us. He tries to split us up, divide us, create suspicion, smoldering resentments and personality conflicts. He tries to get us to not talk with each other, have nothing to do with one another, look down on others, cut them off from our fellowship and conversation and contact. Daily Devotional with Ray Stedman

We often feel in spiritual warfare that every time we turn around we’re under attack, and we never know when he will strike next and we have to be constantly on guard. But that isn’t true. We have only two things to watch: that we stand firm in one Spirit, and that we strive side by side together in the gospel. That’s all. If we are careful to keep our eyes open to the power of God working within in these two areas, our conduct will become worthy of the gospel of Christ.

Thank you, Lord, that you have made me a citizen of heaven. Teach me to stand together, side by side, with my brothers and sisters in Christ.

Life Application: Daily Devotional with Ray Stedman

As Christians we are fellow citizens of the commonwealth of heaven, and Satan, the enemy, will use two main strategies in his attempt to divide and conquer us. How do we stand firm in one Spirit, behaving in a manner worthy of this high calling?
We hope you were blessed by this daily devotion.

Topic: Expect to Hear His Voice by Gloria Copeland March 7, 2018

The sheep that are My own hear and are listening to My voice; and I know them, and they follow Me.
John 10:27, The Amplified Bible

From Faith to Faith—Daily Devotional March 7, 2018 – Expect to Hear His Voice Gloria Copeland

So many believers are unsure of their ability to hear God or know His voice. They’re always afraid that they won’t be able to tell when the Spirit of God is talking to them.

What they don’t realize is this: Hearing the voice of the Spirit is a privilege that the Bible says belongs to every believer (Romans 8:14). All we have to do to exercise that privilege is to receive it by faith and put ourselves in a position to hear.

Next time the devil tries to tell you that you can’t hear God’s voice, remember that.

Jesus said His sheep will know His voice and a stranger’s voice they will not follow. That is a promise of God to you today. You see, the Spirit of God will never guide you in opposition to the written Word of God (John 16:13). So, if you’re not familiar with what the Word says, you’ll find it more difficult to discern His leading.

Get familiar with God’s voice by meditating and studying the Word of God. Follow God’s instruction to Joshua and meditate on it day and night. Act on what you find in the Word, not just when it’s easy but every time. Be obedient even in the slightest things.

That continual obedience to the written Word will bring you into maturity and tune your inward ear to the voice of the Spirit. You’ll soon be able to recognize it as easily as you recognize the voice of your dearest friend.

So, instead of wondering about it, start expecting to hear from Him.

Then start sharpening your spiritual ears by spending time in the Word.

PRAYER: Daddy said that we should please join him to pray a Prayer with all the anger you can muster.

Lift up your hands and say Father, every kidnappers that by whatever name they are called, wherever they may be now; set them on fire. Let their body begin to burn and they will not be able to sleep no more until they released all our children. Right now, let the fire of Heaven burn them, let water in them become boiling water so that they will let go all their captives. You are the Lord of Host and Consuming Fire.

Let somebody shout Halleluyah… Halleluyah!

We ended last night by clapping for the Lord so let us do that again. Then tonight, let’s give Him a big shout of Triumph.

… The shout of Joy will not ceased in your home.

Tonight is the Anointing Service and daddy has a feeling that some of us don’t know the significant of Anointing Service. So he has chosen by the leading of God to talk to us about Anointing.

In Psalm 23:5, David the greatest King Israel had apart from Jesus Christ said: Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

What is Anointing? Pastor E.A. Adeboye Special Holy Ghost Service March 2018

Simply put, Anointing is the manifestation of the Holy Spirit. It is not the Holy Spirit but its manifestation.

Heat is the manifestation of fire but heat is not fire. When you are cold in the villages in those days, you will light up fire during harmattan and gathered round it in order to received heat. You don’t get to touch the fire.

In the afternoon, you get the heat coming from the sun. The heat is not the sun but a mere manifestation of the sun.

Isaiah 61:1 says: The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.

What then is the Anointing meant for?

There are several of them:

1. It is used for Consecration.

Genesis 31:13 talks about Consecrating an altar for God. And you want to set an altar aside for God.

2. It is used to bring Promotion.

In 1 Samuel 10:1; Samuel took a jar of oil, poured it on Saul’s head and then told him that as from now you are now the Captain over God’s Inheritance. This is what changed a farmer to a King.

3. It is used for Ordination.

In Exodus 28:41; God told Moses we want to set apart Aaron and his son to do special works in the House of God…so Moses anointed them.

That is why during the RCCG Convention, when anointing our Assistant Pastors and Pastors, we anoint them. Pastor E.A. Adeboye Special Holy Ghost Service March 2018

4. It is used to Prepare you for your Destiny.

You came into this world for a Purpose. Many have lived and died without fulfilling their Purpose. But anointing can prepare you to fulfill it.

In Makes 14:3; the Bible says that a woman came to Jesus Christ, broke an alabaster box of oil and poured it on the head of Jesus Christ. Then some people argued that why did she have to do that. Then Jesus responded by telling them that she did that so that she can prepare Him for His Destiny – He came to die. Even when He wishes that God should let this cross pass over Him but because He was anointed He said finally nevertheless not my will but let your (God) Will be done.

This anointing will prepare and enable you to reach your goal.

5. It is used for Protection.

You remembered that we have been asked to bring all our children for the April 2018 Holy Ghost Service to be anointed. This is to protect them against evil things.

Psalm 105:15 says touch not my anointed.

6. It is used for destroying yokes and not just breaking it.

Isaiah 10:27 says the yokes shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

Now where is the Headquarters of Anointing in the Human body?

The Headquarters is your HEAD. The Head is the seat of anointing – thou anointed my head with oil. It is not my belly, back or chest. So next time your hear someone doing Deliverance for a woman and anointing the chest then you should know such is not from God.

During our “Mount Hour Time” and people come to be prayed for. When anointing them, some will be pointing to their stomach.

The moment the anointing touches your head, it takes care of the whole body.

How does the Anointing Operates?

1. It operates through the Hands.

In 1 Samuel 17: 34-36; when a lion and bear came against David, he simply punched them dead. There is no power in a punch of a young man that can kill a bear or lion. In Judges 14: 4-5; when a lion attacked Samson, he tore it into two with his anointed hands.

Marks 16:18 says if you believed you will lay hands on the sick and they will recovered.

In Acts 3: 1-8; when Peter said to the lame man neither silver nor gold do i have but what I have I give to you…in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. The bible says that he grabbed him by his hands and his ankles received strength.

2. Anointing can flow through your Voice to uproot the enemies. Special Holy Ghost Service March 2018

In Acts 13: 5-12; Paul was preaching to a Governor and a sorcerer was there hindering him and preventing the Governor from receiving Jesus Christ. At a stage, Paul had to tell him: I command you to be blind for a season. Immediately, the man was blind and look for someone to lead him away. Immediately also the Governor received Jesus Christ.

You may have heard some people saying that what is wrong with daddy nowadays that he kept on issuing decrees. Doesn’t he realised that we are now in the New Testament and in the period of Grace. Is the book of Acts not in the New Testament?

Daddy GO decreed that anyone who will not allow the work of the Kingdom to Progress will go mad. Anyone standing between you and the fulfilment of the Purpose of God (Soul Winning) or slow down the work of the Kingdom; will soon walk around naked.

In Marks 16:17; the bible says these signs shall follow them that believed…in my Name, they will cast out demons.

To cast out demons is not a gentle way of Deliverance. In a Night Club, there are people called the Bouncers. The Bouncers are usually strong and hefty men. If you misbehave and they call a Bouncer for you then they can cast you out.

Special Holy Ghost Service March 2018

Daddy says that you should believe him honestly that before the end of this Month, every person disturbing your peace unless they repent, before tomorrow morning they shall be casted out.

Now those people tried to tell daddy that has he forgotten that the same Jesus Christ that you claimed to follow says He is the Lamb of God. Oh yes I know but He is also the Lion of the Tribe of Israel.

Oh they tell daddy, have you forgotten that God is Love. Oh yes I know but He is also the Consuming Fire. He is love when dealing with His children but a Consuming Fire when dealing with unrepentant enemies.

You see, we have suffered long enough as there are some people who just won’t repent.

Daddy says it again from this Holy Altar; all those who has made up their mind that they won’t let you go, the Consuming Fire will deal with them. You have begged them, pleaded with them and even tried to bribe them. Just know that you cannot bribe a witch as there is absolutely nothing you can do to deal with them.

Daddy decreed that every demon in your family, the Consuming Fire will deal with them.

3. The Anointing operates through your voice and so when you want to cast them out then you will need to speak to them and asked them to get out.

In Acts 5: 1-2; Ananias and Sapphire came in to inform the Apostles about their plot of land that they sold one after the other. The Man of God simply asked is that all that you got from the sales of the land? Each fall down and die as they are obviously trying to introduced hypocrisy to the Church.

Is that in the Old Testament or New Testament? Let us wake up as we have been stupid enough.

Pastor E.A. Adeboye Special Holy Ghost Service March 2018

Every spy in your family or agent .of the devil hibernating in your family the fire of God will consumed them.

Every agent of demon in your Churches and Business, the fire of God will consumed them.

A. The Anointing can flow through your mouth to close the Heavens over your enemies.

In 1 King 17:1; Elijah said to Ahab that you are corrupting the whole Nation of Israel. And he said as the Lord God of Israel liveth before whom I stans; I close the Heavens and there will be no more rain or dew. Instantly, the Heaven closed.

How do you expect your enemies to let go when they are enjoying themselves and blossoming? Until the Heavens over their business is closed; the tides will not turn.

… We are talking of Stronger than our enemies; you are already but its you that don’t know.

B. When Anointing flows through your mouth, it can control weather.

In Joshua 10: 12-13; Joshua and his people were fighting their enemies and as the sun was going down, the enemies seemed to be having upper hands. Joshua simply said: You sun I command you to stay where you are until I finished my assignment.

Daddy decreed that you will not die before you finished your assignment.

He decreed that every unfavorable weather in your life is cancelled.

C. Anointing can flow through your mouth to still a Storm.

In Mark 4: 35-41; Jesus Christ was in the same boat with His disciples on a sea. The storms came and the disciples had to wake up Jesus Christ. The first thing He did was to rebuked the wind and then later the sea.

Daddy stand before the Almighty as His Representative and say that every storm in your life be STILL now.

D. Just as the Anointing can flow through your mouth and “still” contrary wind; it can also summon a Favourable wind.

In Ezekiel 37: 1-10; when God took Ezekiel to a valley of dry bones. And God said to him: speak and prophesized to the dry bones. He did so. Then God said prophesized one more time by calling on the wind to blow over the dry bones. The wind blew and the dry becomes a mighty army.

When a contrary wind blows, it can slow you down. When favourable wind blows, it can accelerate your movement.

Daddy command that the wind that will accelerate your Promotions, I command it to blow for you now.

E. Anointing can flow through your mouth to win souls for God.

When you are anointed, then you don’t need to struggle to win souls.

Marks 16: 15-16 says that if you believed… just go ahead to win souls.

Daddy decreed that as from today anytime you preached or witnessed under the anointing, they will surrender their lives easily to Jesus Christ.

4. Anointing can flow through your sweat.

In Mark 5: 25-34; the woman with the issue of blood came from behind and touched the hem of the cloth of Jesus Christ and she was healed. Jesus asked who touched me because He knew virtues had gone out of Him.

In Acts 19: 11-12; God performed special Miracles by the hands of Pail. From his body they take aprons and handkerchiefs to the sick and they are healed.

Your sweat can carry Anointing.

Daddy is praying for everyone of you that as you become anointed; no one near you needing anointing will have cause to go to daddy GO at all again.

5. Anointing can go through your Breadth.

In Genesis 2;7; when the Great Anointed One wanted to mould man; he just took a clay and later breadth into its nostrils and it became a living soul.

In John 20:22; Jesus Christ breadth into His disciples… receive ye the Holy Ghost.

As you as you breadth from now, it will carry anointing.

6. Anointing can operate through a Shadow.

In Acts 5: 14-16; the shadow of Peter was healing the sick.

Daddy want to believed God for all his children who are committed to the Vision God has given him that when you walk pass; people will get Miracles.

So the Anointing is for a Purpose. In Isaiah 61: 1-3; we observed why God gave us this Treasure: To preach the Good News, bind up the broken hearted, proclaimed liberty to the captives and open the prison doors to them that are bound.

In the Name that is above all Names; our daughter will soon come back home.

Anointing is for you to work for God and not show off.

If you want to be Specially Anointed then you must be Holy…this is very very crucial.

Hebrew 1:9 says because you love righteousness and hated iniquities that is why even your God has anointed you with oil of Gladness above all your fellow.

People will call you Holier than thou…that’s a good decree. A Christian Fanatic is that who love God more than you. Pastor E.A. Adeboye Special Holy Ghost Service March 2018

Why Must you be HOLY?

If you abuse Anointing it can destroyed you. Samson is a classical example. In Judges 16: 1-end. Because the Anointing is there so he went into an harlot. The enemies knew that he was there, shut the gate but at midnight, he uprooted the gate and went his way. Then Samson went further as in to marry Delilah. At the end of the day, he died a blind man prematurely.

Why are we interested in your Holiness?

Whenever the Anointing dries up, evil spirit will come in – 1 Samuel 16:14.

It is better for you not to be Anointed in the first instance than to be an Ex-Anointed one because if the Anointing leaves you; it will create a vacuum which will be filled up by forces of darkness.

There had been traces of Man of God performing signs and wonders and who get involved with sin and the Anointing left them. And they had to keep up the show and so they began to look for other sources. We have seen examples of these even in Nigeria.

There is no room for vacuum in Nature…if the Spirit of God leaves you something else will come in immediately.

So tonight, search your heart if there is still something in your life that you are still doing that is contrary to the Word of God. The Anointing tonight I’d very Special… Daddy gas blessed it and for those across all centers across the world, he will bless yours too.

If you are anointed and you still continue doing contrary to the Will of God, then the anointing will bore a hole on your head. Pastor E.A. Adeboye Special Holy Ghost Service March 2018

Just in case if there is anyone that heard this message and desired to be anointed in this Anointing Service; before the oil touches your head make sure that you are on the side of God.

So if you are here and yet to give your life to God, then before I count 1 to 5; make sure that you are standing in front of the altar.

As you come, pray thus: Father please save my soul. Let your blood washes me clean as I want to be free to receive the oil now.

For we others, let us pray for them that God will accept them into the family of God.

Now it will soon be time for the Anointing.

When Jesus Christ wanted to feed the 5000. He took 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes and after He has gave thanks gave it to the disciples and the disciples to the people. It was from disciples to crowd that the multiplication occurred. Daddy will anoint Mummy GO who will then anoint the Pastors who will now anoint you.

When the Anointing come on you, please do some serious warfare. Decree all manners of things that you want the Consuming Fire to deal with in your life and the Mountains you want moved. Because tonight will make a Major Turning Point of your life.

After the Anointing: Daddy GO said that he felt God telling him – let’s give this people a Special Birthday Gift.

The Bible tells us about Joshua son of Num that he was full of Wisdom because Moses laid hands on him.

… So now for two (2) minutes ask God for anything you see in the life of Pastor E.A ADEBOYE that you considered precious and wants God to deposit into your life.

Daddy GO says we should lift up our hands as he decrees: In the Name of the one who has called me; Whatever you asked for receive it in Jesus Name. Whatever you should have asked for that you didn’t know how to asked for receive it in Jesus Name. Whatever you need to succeed in life, marriage and Ministry receive it right now in Jesus Name. Whatever you need to finish well and strong receive it now in Jesus Name. Whatever you need to make it all the way to Heaven receive it now in Jesus Name. And so shall it be in Jesus Mighty Name we pray – AMEN!

… Put your hands together for the Almighty God.

We want to say “Thank you” to the Almighty God for a great Special Holy Ghost Service… Plesse go ahead to give God a big hand.

Tomorrow morning (Sunday, 4th of March 2018); by the Grace of God, there will be Service here. Being the 1st Sunday Service all over the world, all our Parishes should connect as I will be online from 9.00am as I share with you a bit. Pastor E.A. Adeboye Special Holy Ghost Service March 2018

… Now with tremendous Joy and as one that the Holy Spirit filled up with, dance to the nearest basket to drop your Thanksgiving Offerings and then you celebrate with your colleagues.

In the Name that is above ALL names; your Joy will never ceased. Because you have Thanked God wholeheartedly tonight; you will never lack again. The Almighty God and the All Sufficient One will see to it that you will have more than enough. He will bless your offerings, He will Sanctify your offerings and He will use it for His Glory. As you go, God’s Presence will go with you. From now on, anytime I hear from you it shall be Good News. You will serve God till the very end. In the Kingdom of God, we will reign together. In Jesus Name we pray!!!

… You can go home singing and dancing.

… God bless you real good.

Thank you for reading. Pastor E.A. Adeboye Special Holy Ghost Service March 2018

DCLM Daily Manna 6 March, 2018 by Pastor Kumuyi – Trust In Man?

Topic: Trust In Man? [DCLM Daily Manna Tuesday March 6th, 2018]

Text: Psalm 62:1-12 (KJV)

Key Verse: “Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity” (Psalm 62:9).

MESSAGE: DCLM Daily Manna 6 March, 2018 by Pastor Kumuyi

John Maxwell in his book, ‘The Leader Within You’ stated that the Great Wall of China was built so high that no one could get over it and so thick that no one could tunnel through it. Amazingly, in the first 100 years of its existence, China was invaded three times. The enemy invaded through a gate left open for them because those who guarded it had been bribed. While the people sat comfortably behind the security of this gigantic wall which still exists today, they failed to teach their children integrity and patriotism. So, they were sold out to the enemy.

David expressed his confidence in God who was his Salvation and Defense. He stated the danger of putting one’s confidence in unregenerate men, who can be very undependable. He described men as lighter than vanity when placed in a balance, and said, trusting in them is like putting one’s hope in a mirage. He also cautioned against putting one’s confidence in riches which can be very disappointing as money can fail anytime. He concluded by extolling the justice and equity of God as more reason to trust Him. God is indeed faithful.

We can’t be too sure of the actual event that prompted the context of this psalm but the setting fits into the many stories of betrayals that David faced ranging from his plight with Saul after killing Goliath and the tacit support given the rebellious Absalom by some leaders in Israel.

Having people whom you placed your utmost trust turn against you is no longer news. People can disappoint and even betray the trust placed on them because they are unregenerate. Like David, we must always put our absolute trust in the most reliable and ever merciful God.

Thought For The Day: Better to trust the unseen God than believe in finite man.

Topic – Ask for Rain Joel Osteen Daily Devotionals

Ask the LORD for rain in the time of the latter rain.
Zechariah 10:1, NKLV

TODAY’S WORD: Joel Osteen Daily Devotionals

We all face disappointments and setbacks. Life is full of things that try to push us down. Maybe you got bad news concerning your health. A relationship didn’t work out. Maybe you lost your job. It was a setback. When we face setbacks, it’s easy to get discouraged or lose our enthusiasm. Too often we are tempted to just settle where we are. But if we’re going to see God’s best, we have to have a bounce-back mentality. That means when you get knocked down, you don’t stay down. You get back up again. It means when

disappointments come, you shake them off knowing that what the enemy meant for your harm God is going to turn around and use for your good.

When you’re a bounce-back person, you know that adversity is not permanent. Weeping may endure for a night, but you know joy is coming in the morning. There is wonderful joy ahead on the other side of this trial. Keep standing, keep believing, and choose to be a bounce-back person because you are coming out better off than you were before! You are rising higher, and you will fulfill the destiny God has in store for you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY: Joel Osteen Daily Devotionals

Father in heaven, thank You for Your grace, mercy, and favor. I ask for rain in the time of rain, I ask for an increase in Your favor and blessing so I can be a blessing to those around me today and always.

Energize your life! God has created you to be a victor, not a victim. Jumpstart your day by celebrating the very best that God has for you! These daily inspirations will help you grow in your relationship with the Lord and equip you to be everything God intends you to be. If you would like to receive our daily devotional from Joel

Seeds of Destiny 6th March 2018 by Pastor Paul Enenche

Seeds of Destiny 6th March 2018 by Pastor Paul Enenche

Topic: Sin, An Attack On Spirituality And Prayer Life [Seeds of Destiny Tuesday March 6, 2018]

Scripture: And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. – Mark 11:25

Thought For The Day: Seeds of Destiny 6th March 2018 by Pastor Paul Enenche

The life of prayer and the life of sin are mutually exclusive.

Prayer is a vital component of our spiritual journey. Prayer enhances spirituality. Sin on the other hand engenders lukewarm attitude towards prayer. That is why it has been said that prayer keeps people from sin and sin keeps people from praying. The life of prayer and the life of sin are mutually exclusive; they are diametrically opposed. They cannot coexist. The decision to sin is a decision against prayer, and the decision to pray is a decision against sin. This means that one of the major objectives of sin is to attack your prayer life.

Now, how does the attack affect the person? When a person okes, drinks, has intimate relationship with someone he or she is not married to, takes money that was not given to him or her, lies or cheats, etc.; prayer is going to become a struggle for such a person, except he or she is a hypocrite. The flow of prayer from the mouth of a sinner becomes a struggle. Words cannot flow. The presence of God around the sinner’s life is gone and time to him would appear to have come to a standstill.

When we were sinners, we could not pray for up to five or ten minutes because if you are a sinner, your relationship with God remains permanently broken down.

Beloved, make up your mind not to live a life of sin in order to maintain spiritual buoyancy in the place of prayer.

Remember this: The life of prayer and the life of sin are mutually exclusive.

Assignments: Seeds of Destiny

1. Repent from any sin(s) that may hinder you from making eternity in Heaven.
2. Avoid the wrong company and every temptation that would lead you into sin.

Prayer: O LORD, I ask for forgiveness from any sin that has hindered my prayer life. Help me to cultivate and maintain a buoyant prayer life, LORD, in Jesus’ Name.

Daily Reading: Numbers 6:1 to 7:89, Mark 12:38 to 13:13, Psalm 49:1 to 20, Proverbs 10:27 to 28.

Topic: Victory – A Provision [Andrew Wommack’s Daily Tuesday March 6th, 2018]

Matthew 6:13, “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory for ever. Amen.”

Text: Matthew 6:9-13 – Andrew Wommack Daily Devotional 6 March 2018

A temptation can be a difficult situation or a pressure. Contrary to popular belief, God is not the source of our temptation (Jas. 1:13). When we are under pressure, it is important to realize that God is not trying to entrap us. Satan is called the tempter (Mt. 4:3; 1 Th. 3:5). Then why did Jesus instruct us to pray that the Father would not lead us into temptation? This was simply a request for guidance so that we could be delivered from evil.

Jesus himself was tempted by Satan (Mt. 4, Lk. 4). He trusted God fully for provision, protection, and purpose. The Father would no more lead us into temptation than He would withhold our daily bread. But as stated in James 4:2, “Ye have not because ye ask not.” Both “give us our daily bread” and “lead us not into temptation” are simply requests for what has already been provided for us. This part of prayer serves as a reminder to us of God’s promised protection (Ps. 91) and gives us an opportunity to release our faith and appropriate what has already been provided. Andrew Wommack Daily Devotional 6 March 2018

“No temptation has seized you but such as is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it” (1 Cor. 10:13 NIV). The victory demonstrated by Jesus is available to us. “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Cor. 15:57). He has given it to you. Believe and receive it.

Topic: Don’t Let Yourself Snap [Joyce Meyer’s Daily Tuesday March 6th, 2018]

Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. — Psalm 62:1-2 (NIV)

Joyce Meyer Devotional 6 March 2018

Has this ever happened to you: You break a rubber band while trying to stretch it around something. You can’t find another one, so you try to fix the broken one by tying the ends together.

Sometimes in our daily lives, we stretch ourselves beyond our capacity, and we snap like the rubber band. We think we’ve fixed the problem by simply tying the ends back together. But soon we fall into the same behavior that caused us to break down in the first place.

Over time with repeated exposure to stress, our lives begin to resemble that worn-out rubber band. It can completely deplete us.

Ignoring God’s laws and His ordained limits for our lives will ultimately cause burnout. You simply can’t continue to overwork your mind, emotions and body without eventually paying the price. But that’s not how God wants you to live.

Adjust your perspective to match God’s. Seek His peace and His pace for your life. Respect your body. Treat good health as a priceless gift. Don’t waste the energy God has given you on stress. Save it for living and enjoying life!

Prayer Starter: God, I want to find my rest in You. Instead of constantly going and snapping under stress, show me how to follow Your pace for my life.

Topic: To Live or Die? Devotions by Ray Stedman A daily devotion for March 6th

Read the Scripture: Philippians 1:19-26

For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! Phil 1:21-22

Devotions by Ray Stedman To Live or Die?

The Christian view of death is given in just four words in this passage: “with Christ, far better.” That sums it up. But before we look closer at that, it’s important that we see what this man’s view of life is, because these are not the words of a man who is sighing after heaven but resigned to living on earth. This is not the utterance of someone who is fed up with living and couldn’t take life any longer so now the only hope is that heaven is close at hand. For Paul, to live is Christ, and that is exciting! Living, he says, means fruitful labor, in which I can take the greatest delight. The prospect of continuing to live is not an unwelcome prospect here, in fact he says “I hardly know which to choose”, both prospects are so enticing and inviting. The Christian is not so neurotically desirous of death that he no longer wants to live. We sometimes give the wrong impression. We sing these wonderful songs about the glory up there but sometimes, unfortunately, Christians leave the impression that this is really all they’re living for is what comes at the end. Devotions by Ray Stedman for March 6th

The Christian does not live with some unutterable longing to escape, to evade life, to run from it. No! Paul is not at all saying that! He says, “to live is Christ” — I love it! And evidently the Spirit of God tips the scale here in favor of life, so he goes on to say, “convinced of this I know that I shall remain, and continue with you all” — because you need me and I will have the joy of coming to you again. But facing the possibility of death does not mean he is tired of life, but that death can only mean a more wonderful and deeper companionship with Christ. That is what makes life worth living. He says, “to die is gain”, and you can only say that if you are prepared to say, “to live is Christ”!

What do you think is really living? What kind of circumstance do you have to have before you can say “Oh, now I’m really living”? What do you substitute for “Christ” in these words of Paul? “To me to live is money”? Then to die is to lose it all, isn’t it? “To me to live is fame”? To die is a name in the obituary in the paper and never have it there again. “To me to live is pleasure”? To die is to go out into an unknown. “To me to live is health”? To die is to lose my health. You see the only thing that makes sense in life is to say with the Apostle, “for me to live is Christ,” because then you can say “to die is gain.” The truth about the Christian faith is that heaven begins down here.

Father, thank you that you have given me a purpose for living. Teach me to be able to genuinely say, “For me to live is Christ, to die is gain.” Devotions by Ray Stedman for March 6th

Life Application: Devotions by Ray Stedman for March 6th

Do we live out our Christian expectations as escapists? Are we rather choosing to be the planted seed that dies in order to experience abundant life? Are we experiencing the Joy of union with the Living Christ, whether we live with Him on earth or in heaven?
We hope you were blessed by this daily devotion.

When he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers to sing to the Lord and praise Him in their holy [priestly] garments as they went out before the army, saying, Give thanks to the Lord, for His mercy and lovingkindness endure forever!
2 Chronicles 20:21, The Amplified Bible

Daily Devotional Kenneth Copeland March 6, 2018

Praise precedes victory!

You can see a graphic example of that in 2 Chronicles 20. There, the Bible tells us that a multitude of forces was marching against Israel. The army of Israel was so outnumbered, they literally didn’t know what to do. So they fasted and prayed until they received a word from God. “Be not afraid or dismayed at this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s” (2 Chronicle 20:15, The Amplified Bible).

Do you know what they did in response to that word? They put together a praise choir! That’s right. They appointed singers and praisers and sent them out in front of the army! And when that choir began to sing, the Word tells us that “the Lord set ambushments against the men…who had come against Judah, and they were [self-]slaughtered” (verse 22).

When it was all over, not one Israelite had fallen—and not one of their enemies had escaped. What’s more, when they came to take the spoil, they found so many cattle, goods, garments and other precious things, it took them three whole days to haul it all home.

Now, that’s victory! And it all began with praise.

Are you looking for that kind of victory today? Then stand up and shout, “Glory!” After all, you’re in the same situation those Israelites were in. You have an army marching against you, but Jesus has already defeated it. He won that battle for you on Resurrection morning.

All that’s left for you to do is trust Him and begin to praise. Sound out those praises today. Speak them, sing them, declare them in the face of your enemy. Once he hears them, he’ll know he doesn’t even stand a chance.
