BASIC SCRIPTURE: HEBREWS 6: 9-14

Hebrews 6:9-14 (KJV):
9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have showed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, andpromise to Abraham multiplying I will multiply thee.

These verses speak about God’s faithfulness, the assurance of salvation, the importance of perseverance, and how God fulfills His promises.

Devotional 4 November 2023

Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with gratitude in our hearts. We thank You for the assurance of salvation and the promises that You have given us. We are encouraged by the words in Hebrews 6:9-14, which remind us that You are just and that You do not forget the love and work we do in Your name.

Lord, we ask that You help us to continue in diligence and to show love to Your people. May we be inspired by those who, through faith and patience, have inherited Your promises. Help us not to become lazy or complacent, but to imitate the faithful examples of those who have gone before us. Devotional 4 November 2023

Just as You made a promise to Abraham and fulfilled it, we trust in Your promises for our lives. You are a God of integrity, and Your word is true. We ask that You help us to remain steadfast in our faith and to fully realize the hope we have in You.

We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen.
