TOPIC: THE WORD HAS PURCHASED YOU

READ: 📖 John 1:1-18
1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2. The same was in the beginning with God.

3. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

8. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

9. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11. He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13. Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

15. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

16. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

17. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

18. No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

MESSAGE: 📖🎙️
From our Bible reading, we can clearly see that the Word is Jesus Christ (John 1:14). The Word is extremely powerful. If you can know and be filled with the Word, then there is nothing that would be impossible to you.

If you meet someone and the fellow is introducing himself to you, he is likely to tell you what he does. For example, a Civil engineer will most likely introduce himself as one. In getting to know the Word also, you must first know what the Word does. According to John 1:1-3, the Word is the Creator of all things. Is there anybody who can duplicate the sun, moon, seas, or the human brain? Do you know that it is the Word that created you? To prove that all His creations are masterpieces, He put a unique code in your fingerprints such that no other creation of His is exactly like you. Someone else may have the same height, looks and complexion as you, but no two people are exactly the same. He made you unique for a purpose and you will fulfil that purpose in Jesus’ name.

When you see a masterpiece, it is usually extremely valuable, so valuable that no one can place a price on it and it’s thus often auctioned to the highest bidder. Matthew 16:26 says that your soul is so precious that even if all the riches in this world were to be put in a bid for your soul, there still wouldn’t be enough value for it. That is why I marvel when I see people selling their soul to the devil for material wealth. Such people are selling themselves short. The only price that is worth being paid for your soul is the blood of the Lord Jesus – the Word Himself. He has shed His blood and paid the price for you to be with Him for eternity.

Some sell their souls to the devil because they are lusting after a woman. Some sell their souls by telling lies so as not to get in trouble with men. There is nothing the world and the devil has to give that can be as valuable as your soul. Don’t sell yourself short to the enemy, the Word has already purchased you with His priceless blood.

When you commit sin, the devil sees you as a fool because you are selling yourself short.

OPEN HEAVENS FOR TUESDAY, 14TH MARCH 2023 – THE WORD HAS PURCHASED YOU

MEMORY VERSE: 1 CORINTHIANS 6: 20

BIBLE PASSAGE: JOHN 1: 1-18

1. Father, I thank You for Your goodness, tender mercies and unfailing love, which made it possible for me and my loved ones to see this 14th day of March 2023; I thank You for the daily miracle of sleeping and waking up, I thank You for keeping watch over me and all my loved ones throughout yesterday and for making it possible for us to see another day; I thank You for Your promise to show us Your Almightiness this March; I thank You for the double portions experiences that You have in store for me and my loved ones this year 2023 and beyond.

2. Father, I thank You for Who You are – The Almighty God, the All Sufficient One, The Author of Life; The Owner of my Soul; Alpha and Omega You are worthy to be praised and adored; My Redeemer Kinsman Who empowers me to walk uprightly and live a holy and transformed life;

Father, I thank You for Your promise that my biggest challenge of 2022 will lead to my biggest testimony in 2023;

Father, I thank You for Your promise to speak peace to our troubled homes this year;

Father, I thank You for your promise to restore our lost glories this year;

Father, I thank You for Your promise that the trouble makers in our nation and families will lose the ability to make trouble from now on;

The Promise Keeper, I thank You for all the other wonderful, good and precious promises You made to me and my loved ones this year 2023.

3. Father, I thank You for the precious salvation of my soul and for the privilege of being numbered among the children of God; I thank You for giving me the hope of eternal life and for writing my name in the Lamb’s book of Life.

I thank you for the miracles of provisions, sustenance, preservation, protection and divine guidance.

Glory be to Your Holy Name; Father please accept my worship and thanksgiving, in the mighty name of Jesus.

4. Father, I acknowledge and repent of all my sins and wrongdoings committed against You in my thoughts, words and deeds; please have mercy on me, wash me clean in the precious blood of Jesus and forgive me, in the mighty name of Jesus.

5. Father, in any way I have offended my family members, loved ones, neighbours and my fellow men, please help me to right my wrongs, correct my mistakes, restitute my ways and obtain forgiveness, in the mighty name of Jesus.

6. Father, Please give me the grace to stop selling myself short and playing the fool before the devil by stopping a lifestyle of committing sin, in the mighty name of Jesus.

7. Father, please help me to know and be filled with Your word so that nothing will be impossible to me, in the mighty name of Jesus.

8. Father, You made me unique for a purpose, so please give me the grace to fulfill that purpose, in the mighty name of Jesus.

9. Father, You made me a unique masterpiece for a purpose, so I am a jewel of inestimable price, the only price that is worth being paid for my soul is the precious blood of Jesus, please may I not miss eternity with You, in the mighty name of Jesus.

10. Father, Please grant me the grace never to sell myself short to the enemy nor sell my soul to the devil, in the mighty name of Jesus.
