TEXT: PSALM 29:1-11.
1 A Psalm of David. To the LORD, O you sons of the mighty, give to the LORD glory and strength. Psa 96:7-8
2 Give to the LORD the glory due to His name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. [Psa 96:9]
3 The voice of the LORD is upon the waters; the God of glory thunders; the LORD is above many waters. Exo 9:23 [Job 37:2]
4 The voice of the LORD is powerful, the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.
5 The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; yea, the LORD breaks the cedars of Lebanon. [Nah 1:5]
6 He also makes them to skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox.
7 The voice of the LORD hews out flames of fire.
8 The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
9 The voice of the LORD causes the does to give birth and strips the forests bare; and in His temple everyone says “Glory!” [Job 39:1]
10 The LORD sits upon the flood; yea, the LORD sits as King forever. Psa 10:16
11 The LORD will give strength to His people; the LORD will bless His people with peace.

TOPIC: THE LORD BLESSES HIS PEOPLE WITH PEACE.

MESSAGE:
Our text shows that peace is of God. Today, some believers run from one church or ministry to another in search of riches, employment, healing, children, and so on but forget to ask God’s blessing of peace. This passage teaches that before He blesses us with peace, we ought to give Him the glory that is due His name, worship Him in the beauty of His holiness, and enthrone Him in our hearts, in our families, and in our land as king forever. When we neglect God, we miss the blessing of peace. Without peace, the houses we have
built will be destroyed, the riches we have gathered will be burned, the children we have born may be killed, and we cannot drive the cars we have bought due to insecurity. Hence, we must take the correct posture of worship to enjoy God’s peace.
REFLECTION:
Correct worship attracts God’s peace.
PRAYER:
Lord, bless me, my family, church, and land with your peace. Amen.
MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH: PSALM 122:6-7
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May those who love you be secure.
May there be peace… within your citadels.”
TODAY’S READING PLAN: LEVITICUS 3-4.
