Topic: Adversity and Endurance

Adversity will reveal where you
stand in your faith.

When trouble comes, do you tend to doubt God’s mercy? Or do you thank Him for His faithfulness during the heart-wrenching time? Do you trust that He will never leave or forsake you?

Adversity will reveal where you stand in your faith. It will reveal how much you are willing to endure for God.

You never know how much difficulty you can withstand until you are tried.
Right now—right where you are—remember this:
God has put a limit on all adversity. Because you are a child of God, the Holy Spirit is living inside of you, and He knows how much you can bear. The psalmist
said, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all” (Psalm 34:19),
and, “As a father pities his children, so the LORD pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame;
He remembers that we are dust” (103:13–14).
You are able to not only survive but also thrive in the midst of adversity.

Many times, what you will discover is that your ability to handle adversity is greater than you first thought. You find that you are stronger and more resilient than you imagined.

You are able to not only survive difficult circumstances but also thrive in the midst of them. When you learn and mature in the
midst of trials, God is pleased because He sees His purpose being fulfilled in you. You are growing spiritually and increasingly being conformed to the likeness of Christ.

God is thrilled when you respond wisely to adversity!

Lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be
exalted above measure revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure.Concerning this thing I pleadedwith the Lord three times that it
might depart from me (2
Corinthians 12:7–8).
