TOPIC: LACK OF PRINCIPLES – A PITFALL OF REUBEN
SCRIPTURE: Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 1 CORINTHIANS 10:11.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Lack of principles is the pitfall of many people with great destinies.
Our anchor Scripture makes it clear that the things written in Scripture are for our admonition.
The things that happened in Scriptures are for our admonition so we can avoid the pitfalls of some people. The Bible is full of such stories.
And one of such stories is the story of Reuben.
Reuben had the potential to be great but he lost out in life and in destiny on the basis of character bankruptcy. It is very important to learn from him so we can order our lives aright.
One of the pitfalls of Reuben was that he lived a life of no principles. Lack of principles is the pitfall of many people with great destinies.
Reuben has no principles and guidelines. He did not know the difference between what is permissible and what is abominable. A principal person must be a principled person. Reuben had no destiny principles and guidelines.
To Reuben, he could sleep with any and every woman he saw, including his father’s wife. That was a reckless and wild way of living.
There are many reckless people today living without guidelines or principles. When you ask them, “Will you drink beer?” They will say, “Yes, why not?”
You tell them, “There is a park somewhere there; let us go there and ask some women out.” Without hesitation and control, they will say, “That is alright, let’s go.”
Many people do not have the capacity to say, “No” to wrong things.
I decree today, the grace to say, “No” to wrong thing is released on you in Jesus’ Name.
REMEMBER THIS: Lack of principles is the pitfall of many people with great destinies.
ASSIGNMENTS: SEEDS OF DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL
1. Refuse to live without principles and guidelines in life.
2. Make Scriptures or the Word of God your guiding principles in life and destiny.
PRAYER: Lord, I refuse to live without Scriptural principles and guidelines. I receive the grace to bring my life under Your control, principles and guidelines Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
