Renew Your Mind, One Thought at a Time

When I really began to study the Word and to trust God to restore me, I realized that my negativism had to go. You see, I’d had so many disappointments in life that my whole philosophy was: If you don’t expect anything good to happen, then you won’t be disappointed when it doesn’t.God wanted me to see that in Christ, I was a new creation. Don’t ever let old things that happened to you keep affecting your new life in Christ. With God’s help, your mind can be completely renewed!

Word for today Joyce Meyer
AUGUST 2018 A Wondering Mind by Joyce Meyer 247devotionals.com

This Week’s Scripture:
Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (AMP)

Tip from Joyce this week

“The hardest part of being set free from negativism is facing the truth and saying, ‘I’m a negative person, and I want to change’…the pathway to freedom begins when we face the problem without making excuses.” – Joyce Meyer, Battlefield of the Mind
