Day 18 – The Body of Christ & Individuals

• Pray that you will understand intelligently your role in the Body of Christ, and effectively fulfilling it.

Ephesians 1: 17 (MSG)
I ask—ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength!

Colossians 1:9
For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.

• Pray that your eyes will be focused and clear to see precisely and correctly what God has called you to achieve for Him. Pull down every impediment that beclouds your vision, in Jesus Name.

• Pray that you will experience the endless energy and boundless strength given to you by God to carry out His purpose on earth.

Ephesians 1: 20-23 (MSG)
All this energy issues from Christ: God raised him from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the center of all this, Christ rules the church. The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence.

Colossians 1: 11
Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy.

• Pray that you will remain rooted in Christ so as to bear much fruit unto righteousness, as a result of His presence in you and your connection to Him.

John15:5-8 (MSG)
I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing. Anyone who separates from me is deadwood, gathered up and thrown on the bonfire. But if you make yourselves at home with me and my words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. This is how my Father shows who he is—when you produce grapes, when you mature as my disciples.

Philippians 1: 11
Being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
