MEMORY VERSE: “For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.” – 1 Corinthians 4:20
The MESSAGE:
Signs and wonders are proofs that believers are supposed to use in demonstrating the almightiness, omnipotence and sovereignty of their God. In Mark 16:17-18, Jesus said, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” The Lord was, in other words saying that these signs shall follow those who wield my power. You cannot produce signs and wonders without the power of the Holy Spirit. In fact, some of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are called power gifts. Powerlessness is the bane of Christianity today. Jesus’ disciples were able to turn their world upside down because they had and demonstrated God’s power. The rulers and authorities of their time could not deny it. The people in millions witnessed and attested to the supernatural power at work in their lives. Hell knew they carried the fire of the Holy Ghost and that they were dangerous soldiers of the Lord’s army. As born again believers, these description and achievements of Christ’s apostles should be our credentials and testimonies today.

It is unfortunate that human and spiritual enemies are molesting and destroying many children of God freely and unchallenged today. What is the reason? Powerlessness. The enemy is pursuing and harassing children of God who should be enforcing the God-given dominion over all God has created. Beloved, the untold hardship, pain and shame many children of God are suffering today due to powerlessness must stop. Many give time to pursue education, career, business, marriage, money and parenting. All these are good but when you ignore the need to acquire God’s power to help your life and destiny, the enemy will steal, kill and destroy all those things easily even when you are fortunate to acquire them. If you don’t have power, the enemy will not let you have and enjoy them. Powerlessness will make the enemy ridicule a believer. You cannot live a successful and mountain top life without the power of the Holy Spirit. You need the power and fire of God to fulfil your destiny. That is why Jesus, in His post-resurrection appearance, told His disciples not to depart from Jerusalem to start their assignment, but wait for the promise of the Father. He said, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witness unto me both in Jerusalem, and in Judea and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
Beloved, have you received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and of fire? If you have not, I encourage you to do so and this year will be a phenomenal success for you, in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- Father, make me a producer of apostolic signs and wonders, in the name of Jesus.
- Father, baptise me with the Holy Ghost and fire, in the name of Jesus.
- I reject powerlessness and all its consequences, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING - I shall rule in the midst of my enemies and my enemies shall be my footstool, in the name of Jesus.
- Power to reach my Promised Land and possess my possession, fall upon me now, in the name of Jesus.
- Anything assigned to drain God’s unction or extinguish God’s power in my life, your time is up, die, in the name of Jesus.
- Father, give me a special encounter with the Holy Spirit today and let my life be transformed for Your glory, in the name of Jesus.
