FIRE SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 43:11-19

MEMORY VERSE: “`In the beginning, God created the Heaven and the earth.” – Genesis 1:1

The MESSAGE:

The beginning means Genesis, it tells of how God picked the earth without form and void, with gross darkness, and turned it to a beautiful home for man, animals and plants. He gave it light, purpose, decision, shape and colour. Our God is the beginning of everything, He divinely created the earth and everything that exists. Everything exists by the power of God (Colossians 1:16): “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.” Our individual lives, families, careers, homes, marriages and ministries should begin with Him totally. In Jeremiah 29:11, God declares: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” When God is in your beginning, He will direct the ship of your life against the storms.

Beginning anything with God brings perfection, stability and good quality to that thing. It also brings renaming and renaming brings transformation. When Jesus met Peter, He changed his name to Simon and that was the beginning of fruitfulness in his business and Ministry. A unique encounter also took place in the life of Saul whom God renamed Paul and he is recorded as one of the greatest Apostles.

Everything in the Scripture is built around God. He formed the earth, created it, and owns it. We may be actors on the stage called earth, but God owns the stage, He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending of all things (Revelation 1:8).

What is that thing or situation that you did not begin with God? If you bring Him in today, He would restart and rename that situation, transform it and give it back to you with a purpose and direction –be it in your marriage, business or career, and you will be amazed at the transformation power of God. I pray that you will realise the need to make God your absolute beginning in your daily endeavours, in Jesus’ name.

2. My Father, teach me to begin with You at all times, in the name of Jesus.
3. O LORD, begin with me today, in the name of Jesus.

4. Ability to go with God all the way, fall upon me, in the name of Jesus.
5. Satanic power pushing me from depending on God, die, in the name of Jesus.
6. My Father, transform my life, in the name of Jesus.
7. O LORD, disgrace my disgrace, in the name of Jesus.
