Simply put, we are a diverse group of people who love Jesus. The word “Elim” refers to a place of refreshing in the Bible; an oasis in the middle of the desert where travellers would stop with their caravans and find shade and enjoy rest. OUR HISTORY
Elim’s beginnings go back to small house meetings in the early part of 1917, as a group of believers began meeting to pray for and experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit as described in the Book of Acts. With growth came a need for a new meeting place, and a storefront was rented on the 600 Block of 20th Street. Property was then purchased on Idylwyld and 25th St, and became Elim’s home. The congregation eventually outgrew that facility and a new building was built on the same site in the 1960’s. Further growth necessitated another move in the 1970’s, this time to the 8th Street location.
We moved into our current state-of-the-art facility in 2012, where we are blessed to be able to share our campus with our community and the city of Saskatoon.
OUR CAMPUS
Our building spans 70,000 square feet of ministry space that is used for a wide variety of events. Aside from in-house functions like services and mid-week events, Elim plays host to major conferences, concerts, weddings, organized sports and much more.
