Do you long for deep and abiding peace? Does your soul need rest from the worries that surround you?

Your anxiety can be a telltale sign that your focus isn’t where it should be. Instead of rejoicing in the strength, wisdom, and love of God, you may have allowed your attention to be consumed by the details
of your circumstances. You may be so busy trying to figure out how to fix your situation that you’ve forgotten the only effective solution is to submit
yourself to God. As Jesus said, “I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace.

In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
It is time to start thinking differently about your situation. As Paul instructs in Romans 12:2, it is time to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
You do this by continually filling your mind with the things of God—by beginning each day connecting with Him through prayer and reading His Word. Your time with God will give you the direction, strength,
and focus you need and will fill you with the peace for which your heart yearns.

How will you live out Life Principle 12 this
week? Begin by taking some time to examine your heart. Are you at peace? If not, what is causing your unrest or worry?

What areas of your life have you not fully turned over to God? What promises does
God provide to you in His Word that He will care for you? As you seek the Lord in prayer, ask Him to shine a light on anything that is preventing you from forming a greater oneness with Him.
