Another way to develop the kind of faith that men like David and Elisha possessed is to recognize the true nature of the battle. When David entered the conflict against Goliath, he clearly understood the battle was the Lord’s and that God would give him the victory (see 1 Samuel 17:47)

Elisha understood the spiritual nature of the battle as well and that God
was fighting on the Israelites’ behalf.
