MESSAGE:

We should follow the example of our Lord Jesus Christ in His perception of intricate problems. While here in the world, He encountered difficulties that both His disciples and those outside expected Him to deal with. There was a wide gulf between the two on how they viewed such issues. Where others saw a crisis and despair, our Lord interrogated them with an opportunity to behold the glory of God. An understanding of these contrasting positions is key to building our faith.

When Jesus saw a man blind from his birth, His followers asked an intriguing question: “Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?” Their poser sprang from an erroneous Jewish tradition that physical infirmity was the consequence of the breach of God’s laws. Instead of going into arguments about Jewish customs, He educated them about the dynamics of the kingdom of God, pointing out that what the ordinary eyes saw as problems were opportunities for God to exhibit His glory. In other words, behind every apparent enigma, there is an opening for God to perform and attract praises to His name. Jesus moved on to prove His point by healing the blind man in a dynamic manner.

As believers, we should not fret or panic when difficulties arise in ministry or secular life. We must trust Him for the right solution that only heaven can provide. And we must obey without hesitation what He asks us to do as the blind man did and got his blessing.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Be prepared for God’s miracles when difficulties arise as you stand your ground.
