Topic: He Who Delivers And Rescues [DCLM Daily Manna Wednesday June 6, 2018]

Text: Daniel 6:1-28 (KJV)

Key Verse: “My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt” (Daniel 6:22).

Daniel, a righteous man, was convicted of a crime, which was not a sin. Daniel purposefully committed this crime because he did not wish to commit a sin against his God. He was appointed president in the kingdom of Babylon. “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm” (Daniel 6:3).

This made the other presidents and princes jealous. Thus, they conspired to eliminate him. It is interesting that when they sought to find occasion or fault against Daniel concerning the kingdom, they could not find any, because he was faithful. No error or fault was found in him. DCLM Daily Manna 6 June, 2018

Genuine repentance from sin and the behavioural changes it brings have a way of turning our benefactors into persecutors. The true test of a believer’s life is how he or she reacts to the maltreatment of persecutors in the workplace, relates with the spouse, children and people he or she comes in contact with.

How dependable and faithful are you, as an employee, in the place where you work or an entrepreneur, in the way you do your business? Are you in conflict with unbelievers? Do your persecutors roar at you like lions? Fear not, because the Lord is with you and will deliver you. No weapon formed against you will prosper. Note, however, that those who are not genuinely saved will not get His divine rescue when the enemy attack. To be saved from the lions of this world, you must turn to God in genuine repentance from sin and put all your trust in Him. DCLM Daily Manna 6 June, 2018
