MESSAGE:

Could you remember the first time you posed for a colour photograph? How did you look in the picture? Good! We have pleasure to introduce to you the man who made that possible; a man whose research efforts successfully produced the first colour photograph in 1861. We are talking about James Clerk Maxwell, who believed that “God had endowed human beings with the power to investigate His handiworks and to harness the power of this created world”.

Prophet Isaiah was given a vision concerning Jerusalem. He saw Jerusalem in anguish and pain. She was full of stirs and a tumult in spite of being a joyous city. Her slain men were not killed with sword or dead in battle but with famine. All the rulers who fled were overtaken and bound by archers. It is punishment for sins. Judah was warned but would not repent.

Vision is the picture you have in your mind or heart that makes you look beyond yourself, ability, environment and your present state. Vision is crucial in life. There are different kinds of vision: Satan-inspired, self-generated, society-imposed and Spirit-inspired.

If the Lord painted on your mind a picture of what He wants you to be or to do, then run with it. But you need to understand that you cannot do it alone. Therefore you will need virtue. Vision without virtue is destructive. As a believer, you should have the vision to leave the world a better place morally than you met it; the vision to improve the lot of people around you. For born again Christians, the right kind of vision is to reach out for the unsaved and backslidden with the gospel.

Thought For The Day: Where there is no vision, the people perish.
