God Is Your Provider By Joyce Meyer

God Is Your Provider By Joyce Meyer

All throughout Scripture, God promises to provide for His children. In fact, in the Old Testament, one of the Hebrew names of God is “Jehovah Jireh,” which means The Lord Our Provider (see Genesis 22:14). We are God’s children. He is our Father, and He delights in providing for us just as natural parents delight in helping their children.

There is nothing we need that He cannot provide. He loves us and wants to take care of us. In fact, there is no one He would rather share His blessings with than His children. Start thanking God in advance for what He is going to do and believe that everything you need is on its way to you right now!

This Week’s Scripture:
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19 NIV

Just Say the Word
Learning to confess God’s Word out loud is life-changing. Confession means “to say the same thing as.” It’s so important for us to say what God says—to speak His Word—not what our feelings, other people or our circumstances might tell us. And when we say what He wants us to say, we’re going to have what He wants us to have.

The Bible says that God’s Word is alive, active, and full of power (see Hebrews 4:12). And when you begin to speak His words out of your mouth, you are cooperating with Him to bring about His good plan for your life. Begin today, speaking out positive, faith-filled words over your life. Say things that line up with God’s Word and what it says about you. Believe the words you speak are “alive, active and full of power.”

This Week’s Scripture:
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 NIV

The Power of Words
Our words are containers for power. Everything that comes out of our mouths—whether positive or negative—has the ability to affect ourselves and others for the good or bad. Words are wonderful when used in the right way; they can encourage, edify and give confidence to the hearer. A right word spoken at the right time can actually be life-changing (see Proverbs ‌15:23).Everyday Study Joyce Meyer: Trust God and Do Good

We can literally increase our own joy by speaking right words. We can also upset ourselves by talking unnecessarily about our problems or things that have hurt us. When we truly understand the power of our words and realize we can choose what we speak, our lives can be transformed.

This Week’s Scripture:
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words. Proverbs 18:21 AMP

Trust God Through the Hard Times

Often when we think of trusting God, we think of trusting Him for things we need or want—financial provision, physical healing, the restoration of a relationship, or a promotion at work. The truth is, God also wants us to trust Him through the situations we face in our life.

Dealing with Your Doubt

We can learn to not only look to God for the results we desire—we can learn to trust Him through the process of attaining them. Whatever situation you are in, you’re not alone and something good can come out of it. God is not only our Deliverer, He is also our Strengthener! Ask Him to give you the strength you need to go through.

This Week’s Scripture:
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 NIV

Joyce Meyer Everyday Study: Continual Contentment

TOPIC: Continual Contentment Joyce Meyer

Are you trusting God at all times? It is one thing to trust God when we get what we want, but quite another to trust Him when we don’t. If we trust God at all times, then naturally that means we trust God in things we don’t understand and that don’t seem fair just as much as we do at other times. The apostle Paul said, “I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances” (see Philippians 4:11 NIV).

Dealing with Your Doubt

Being content when life hurts, or when we have to wait and don’t understand why, requires a belief that God is good and that His ways are different than our ways (see Psalm 100:5; Isaiah 55:8). We may not always understand God’s ways, but we can honor Him by continuing to believe He is good and that His ways are always best.

This Week’s Scripture:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

How can you be joyful when you’re facing hardships? The answer is simple: Do something good for someone else! Psalm 37:3 says, Trust in the Lord and do good…(NIV). Giving of ourselves releases joy in our lives and enables us to be happy while we wait for God to meet our own needs.

Everyday Study Joyce Meyer: Trust God and Do Good

In this week’s scripture, the apostle Paul also encourages us not to get tired of doing good. We don’t have to focus on our problems all day long in order for God to give us answers. Tell Him what you need and then trust Him to provide while you go about doing good for someone else. The truth is, people who are focused on helping others are the happiest people on earth! study Joyce Meyer trust God

Dealing with Your Doubt
Trusting God would be easy if doubt never came. But it does. The truth is that we cannot keep doubt from coming and trying to steal our faith and trust in God. But when doubt comes, we can choose not to let it affect us. So, we must learn to make God and His love for us the focal point of our everyday lives. Then we can experience an unshakeable trust in Him.

Doubt is a tactic the enemy uses to try and stop us from trusting God. But, we can consider the source of the doubt and realize we shouldn’t believe it. Don’t let doubt derail your faith!

Check Your Motives
It’s very easy sometimes for us to deceive ourselves about our motives—the “why” behind the “what”—so it’s good to take the time occasionally to ask God to show us anything that we might be doing for a wrong reason.

Joyce Meyer Devotional

I love doing what I call “motive checks.” An honest evaluation of our motives can be hard, but it can be one of the most freeing things we ever do. Start by asking yourself specific questions such as, “Why am I doing this? or “Do I really have a heart for this?” God sees and knows what’s in your heart, and He will help us see if we’re doing something for a wrong reason. The things we’re doing can be completely without value if the reason we are doing them is wrong. I frequently reevaluate my motives and discontinue things I find I am doing for the wrong reason, and that helps me keep my priorities in order. I encourage you to take some time for soul-searching and learn the “why” behind your “what.”

This Week’s Scripture:
All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord.

Trusting God: Get Help from Your Helper

When Jesus ascended into heaven, He sent us another Comforter and Helper—the Holy Spirit—to be with us and in us at all times. This week’s scripture reminds us of all the wonderful things He does for us! The question is this: How badly do we want His help? This week, ask yourself sincerely, Am I really trusting God? Have I done what He has asked me to do, or am I putting off obeying Him, still hoping that I will get what I want?

God Will Come Through

Most of us probably know and truly believe we’re supposed to trust God, but do we know how to really and truly do it…all the time?
