DAILY BIBLE STUDY

Everyone who has ever gone far in life, every thing that has ever made perfect sense at all, was based on something which kept it firm. As mighty as a Ship is, it needs just a little anchor to hold it in place. As funny looking as fuel looks, it powers a vehicle no matter it’s size. No true believer, no matter how highly placed, can live life to the fullest on a daily basis without taking his strenght from the food which God provides daily for the Soul. This food is not just our daily physical provision; it is the Bread of Heaven – The Word of God.

You wanna live a meaningful and purposeful life on a daily basis, don’t just read the Word like you read your daily Newspaper or any soft sell magazine, STUDY IT.

WHY STUDY THE WORD?

Why? Why?? Why???

“For the Word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”. -Hebrews 4:12.

Some of the so called Christian I know would ask that question above. “Do I have to carry the Bible all around for you to know that I’m a Christian?” Really? But you do carry your phone all around don’t you? How many Christians can go a whole day without their phones? Impossible, you say? Why then do we have several of us go for days on end without studying the Word of God? As water is to a plant, so is the Word of God to the believer. Here are some benefits of studying the Word of God:

  1. It nurture every believer. Joshua 1:8 says when you grow in the Word, you will have good success.
  2. It strengthens. Colossians 1:11. We get strength to face the challenges that comes with each passing day for sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. When we hear of some of the things happening in our society, we tend as humans to be down casted, but the Word helps us to cope.
  3. It Corrects and Reproofs us thereby guiding our way from destruction. II Timothy3:16
  4. It assures us of a bright future here on earth and hereafter in Heaven. Jeremiah 29:11.

The Word of God in the heart of one who is really studying to gain something from it, runs through the mind as water passes through a straw or we would blink our eyelid but that is just the beginning of the process. It goes into the innermost parts of our heart, begins t search through the reader’s mind, develop into his imaginations, he catches a Rhema of the Word, works on him and then he in turn can share to others what he has learnt.

HOW CAN WE EFFECTIVELY STUDY THE WORD OF GOD?

“Study to show thyself approved unto God….II Tim. 2:15”. “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of Grace….4:16”

  1. Approach the Throne with sincere Humility.

2.Worship in Spirit and in Truth(speak in tongues if you can)

  1. Open up your heart to God.
  2. Ask for the presence of the Holy Spirit
  3. Take a pen and a jotter. Write down in detail every revelation God gives to you in His Word. You never can tell when this will come in handy.

“When you read, you skim the surface,

When you study, you discover the treasure”. Study to show yourself certified by God and not man.

THE FIRST EPISTLE GENERAL OF

JOHN

1 *aThat which was from the beginning, which bwe have heard, which bwe have seen with our eyes, which cwe have looked upon, and dour hands have handled, of the Word eof life;

2 (For ethe life fwas manifested, and bwe have seen it, and gbear witness, and shew unto you hthat eternal life, iwhich was with the Father, and fwas manifested unto us;)

3 That which bwe have seen and bheard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly kour fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

4 And these things write we unto you, lthat your joy may be full.

5 mThis then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that nGod is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

6 oIf we say that we have fellowship with him, and pwalk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and qthe blood of rJesus Christ his Son scleanseth us from all sin.

8 tIf we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and uthe truth is not in us.

9 vIf we confess our sins, he is xfaithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to scleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 yIf we say that we have not sinned, zwe make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

1 JOHN CHAPTER TWO (2)

1.My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, awe have an badvocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

2 And che is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but dalso for the sins of the whole world.

3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we ekeep his commandments.

4 fHe that saith, gI know him, and ekeepeth not his commandments, his a liar, and ithe truth is not in him.

5 But whoso jkeepeth his word, kin him verily is the love of God perfected: lhereby know we that we are in him.

6 He that saith he mabideth in him nought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

7 Brethren, oI write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment opwhich ye had from the beginning. qThe old commandment is the word pwhich ye have heard from the beginning.

8 Again, ra new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true rrin him and in you: because the sdarkness tis past, and uthe true light now shineth.

9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, vis in darkness even until now.

10 wHe that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and xthere is none †occasion of stumbling in him.

11 But he that hateth his brother vis in darkness, and ywalketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that vdarkness hath blinded his eyes.

12 I write unto you, little children, because zyour sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.

13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known ahim that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome bthe wicked one. I write unto you, clittle children, because ye have known the Father.

14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known ahim that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because dye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome bthe wicked one.

15 eLove not the world, neither the things that are in the world. fIf any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, gthe lust of the flesh, and hthe lust of the eyes, and ithe pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And kthe world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth lthe will of God abideth for ever.

18 cLittle children, mit is the last time: and as ye have heard that nantichrist shall come, even now are there omany antichrists; whereby we know mthat it is the last time.

19 pThey went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, qthey would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, rthat they might be made manifest that they were not sall of us.

20 But ye have tan unction from uthe Holy One, and vye know all things.

21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because xye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

22 Who is a liar but yhe that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is nantichrist, that zdenieth the Father and the Son.

23 aWhosoever zdenieth the Son, the same bhath not the Father: (but) che that acknowledgeth the Son bhath the Father also.

24 Let that therefore abide in you, dwhich ye have heard from the beginning. If that dwhich ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, eye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even feternal life.

26 These things have I written unto you concerning gthem that seduce you.

27 But hthe anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and iye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing hjteacheth you of all things, and kis truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, lye shall abide in ||him.

28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, mwhen he shall appear, nwe may have confidence, and onot be ashamed pbefore him qat his coming.

29 If ye know that rhe is righteous, ||ye know that severy one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
