TOPIC: TOO DEFENDED TO BE ARRESTED
SCRIPTURE: Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it? Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him. JOHN 18:11-12.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Jesus was arrested so you can be liberated.
The death of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary remains the most significant event in history of mankind. The greatest exchange that brought redemption to humanity happened on that Cross. Our Master Jesus tasted the bitterness of death so you can savour the sweetness of life. When they arrested Him, He suffered pain, pressure, nakedness and hunger. They stripped Him of His garment, leaving Him half naked on the tree. He cried of thirst, and they gave Him vinegar instead of water. They crucified Him between heaven and earth—His feet not touching the ground and His head not reaching heaven. He was suspended unstably in the air.
It is vital to note that death took the Master Jesus before His time, so you can fulfil your days on earth. He died young, so you can live long. That makes it an abomination for you to die before fulfilling your days.
By virtue of this exchange, satan has no legal claim over your life. By virtue of this exchange, you have no business with poverty, pain, or failure in life. Christ suffered pain so you can live free of pains.
Beloved, before you were born, God designed your path. The Psalmist said, “You know the way that I take (Psalm 139:3). He planned and ordained your journey through life. God planned your marriage, children, future, destiny, locations, positions, promotions, and portions. Jesus submitted Himself so nothing could stop you from going your way.
Now, one of the secrets of enjoying Divine preservation of life and destiny as a package of redemption is dwelling in the secret place. To dwell in the Secret Place of the Most High makes you inaccessible to any devil. The secret of preservation is the Secret Place.
This is confirmed in Psalms 91:1-4: He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Beloved, they may see you, but they can’t catch you. You can be available but not catchable. You can be visible, but not arrestable. You are too defended to be arrested by the devil or the spirit of premature death. You shall fulfil your days, in Jesus’ Name.
REMEMBER THIS: Jesus was arrested so that you can be liberated.

PRAYER: Father, You are my Shield and Buckler. Thank You for sending Your Son Jesus to taste the bitterness of death so I can enjoy the sweetness of life. I receive all You have for me in Christ, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
